La Condesa is a small block of 3 floors, with apartments on the top two and offices and a restaurant, Telemaco, on the ground floor. It is immediately on the sea front in the area of Valle Gran Rey known as Vueltas. Enjoy the peaceful balcony with its wonderful views towards the smaller island of El Hierro and watch the sun go down over the sea. (We have a full awning to help protect you from the sun and also keep the lounge pleasantly cool.)

The apartment sleeps 2 people. It consists of an open plan lounge with a sofa bed and satellite TV (Astra 1) and DVD, a well-equipped kitchen, a bedroom with a king-sized double bed and huge mirrored wardrobe and a shower room, which has a washing machine.

Further details

The price of 315 Euro (or 45 Euro per night) is for 2 people for 1 week. This apartment is not suitable for children, unless very small. Cot available.

The Canary Islands region

The island of La Gomera is the second smallest and also the oldest of the 7 Canary Islands. It is barely 30 kms - a 45 minute ferry ride - away from Tenerife, but it is a different world! The island is almost circular, with the lush, laurel-forested heights of Garajonay rising to 1,487m. (5000 ft approximately) in the centre, from which deep, palm tree filled ravines (barrancos) radiate out to the coast. This laurisilver forest has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

It’s a place to go to appreciate the simpler things in life and admire the beautiful rural and coastal scenery or just a place to find peace of mind and get away from the hustle and bustle. The numerous ancient paths throughout the island make it a walker’s paradise. Cars or mountain bikes can be hired to explore the land while scuba diving or a boat trip round the island will reveal it’s spectacular coastline, where steep cliffs plunging down to the sea are interspersed with pebble or exotic black sandy beaches.

"laid back at la condesa"

I think we have visited 5 years in a row now - that must speak for itself!
The flat is well equipped and the view amazing - if you like waves sparkling in the sunshine that is.
The friendly, helpful and generous English owners live about 40 minutes drive away - available if needed but not intrusive.
The resort is laid back but with plenty of bars and good quality restaurants, including several serving traditional canarian food. Lively traditional music scene as well, but clubbing and shopping - forget it. Don't assume all the Northern Europeans about are Germans - many are but many are not.
