The La Gomera region
La Gomera also known as La Isla Magica or The Magic Island is arguably the prettiest of the Canary Islands. This volcanic Island features dramatic mountainous landscapes and is topped by the subtropical rainforest national park of Garajonay.
Hiring a car to do a tour of the island is highly recommended.
Boat trips, kayaking, bicycle hire, guided walks, whale and dolphin watching are all available. The island has a much more laid back independent feel to it than it`s overdeveloped neighbour Tenerife.
Valle Gran Rey / Charco Del Conde area
The apartment is right next to Charco del Conde or Count`s bay which is a small shallow bay surrounded by rockpools.
Vueltas beach is a 10 minute walk turning left when you walk out of the door and Puntilla beach is a 10 minute walk turning right.
There is a hairdressers/beauty parlour a physiotherapist and a medical centre directly underneath the apartment complex and the nearest supermarket and restaurant serving local specialities are a minute`s walk away.
How to get there
·Fly to Tenerife South. ·Take a bus or a taxi to the port of Los Cristianos (20 mins). ·Take the Fred Olsen "Benchi Express" to Valle Gran Rey (1hr 45 mins). ·The apartment is a 15 minute (flat, no hills) walk or a 2 minute taxi ride away.
