The Balearic islands are approx 2 hrs flight from the UK and a popular destination for holidays as the summer is beautifully warm and there is plenty to do during the day and in the evenings.

The island is the ideal destination for a warm holiday; there are plenty of activities and places to visit so it is great for adults and children alike.

Valldemossa area

Valldemossa is an attractive village set in the foothills of the Serra Tramuntana mountain range. The village is very popular with walkers, artists and tourists in general who come to see its beautiful setting and attractive surroundings.

The Carthusian monastery dating from the 13th century was the home to George Sand and Frederic Chopin for a winter.

There are a series of Chopin concerts every August held at the monastery. Also at the end of July and beginning of August the local 'fiestas' are held with different events going on every day ending with a very beautiful procession which is famous throughout the island.

How to get there

Valldemossa is 15kms from the capital city of Palma on Mallorca's Northwest coast and nestled in the Sierra Tramutana mountain range. From the airport of San Juan it is a 25 mins drive.

There is a bus service to Palma and Deia ending up in Soller, but a rental car would be recommended.

The house is in a residential area of Valldemossa, very near the centre of the village, close to shops, cafes and sights.

The house is fairly new. There are 2 floors and a garage area underneath. The upper floor has 4 bedrooms and the 4 shower rooms are all of marble. Two bedrooms have twin beds and two with double beds. Three bedrooms have en suite shower rooms and there is a 4th separate shower room.

There is a terrace outside the dining area with a table and chairs on a lower level there is a small garden and a private pool.

The house is for rent between June and November on a weekly basis.

Conditions

The owners ask for a 50% deposit on booking and the remainder to be paid on arrival.They also ask for a 300 euros deposit to cover damages etc to be returned subject to inspection. Changeover day is Saturday.
