Michael Douglas the actor has made this particular area his philanthropic quest as he has a house quite near to Villa Nixe and he founded the Costa Nord Trust situated in Valldemossa and is well worth a visit. A speciality there is the open air concerts and plays that are performed within.
The Cartuga a Carthusian Monastery and local museums are well worth the walk through the winding cobbled streets and the luxury of being able to rest and watch the world go by in the many cafe's and bars.
