The apartment, which is part of the Crêt De L'Ours complex, is a comfortable 48m square, and sleeps six adults or two families, with ease.
Crêt De L'Ours is situated in a prime location, on south facing slopes, directly above the village centre. The 6th floor apartment is well appointed, with spectacular views, sleeping various combinations of adults and children on two levels.
Located just above the main Vallandry chairlift, and just below the express six-seater Grizzly chairlift, you can be quickly on the sunny and picturesque slopes of Vallandry, then what a choice to start each day - Vallandry, Les Arcs, La Plagne?

The apartment is centrally heated throughout. Downstairs the apartment has a spacious lounge/diner, with an open fire, new futon, table and six chairs. There is a wide selection of games and books for use by guests. The kitchenette is well equipped, with combi oven/grill, twin electric hobs, kettle, iron and ironing board, dishwasher and fridge. Downstairs has an additional room with futon, which converts to a double bed. This is separated from the entrance lobby by a curtain.
The downstairs bathroom has a bath with shower attachment, and a separate WC. Upstairs there's a shower room with shower, sink and WC.
Upstairs has two bedrooms, four bunks in one, and a double master bedroom. There are also two single futons on the mezzanine, for unexpected visitors.
Bed linen and a full cleaning service are provided for the winter season (towels are not provided).
There is a laundry service (Skimanque) in Vallandry, and a self-service laundrette at Super U in Bourg St Maurice in the valley.

A split balcony, with barbecue, faces south and west (sunshine all day), with fantastic views of the Savoie/ Tarentaise valley and Mont Blanc.
The apartment has its own secure underground parking space, and a double ski locker. Access to the apartment is by lift to the 4th floor.
Changeover day is Saturday during ski season. The apartment is available from 3pm Saturday and must be vacated by 10am the following Saturday.
Summer let periods are flexible.
The Rhone/French Alps region
Paradiski covers the linked resorts of Les Arcs, Peisey-Vallandry and La Plagne in the French Alps. With over 230 pistes covering 425km, 160+ lifts, two glaciers and five snowparks, it has something for everyone. Lifts open mid December and close late April. The skiing immediately above the apartment in Peisey-Vallandry is very family friendly with the area above the Vallandry lift being a large south-facing sun trap with stunning views of Mont Blanc. This is where most beginner ski lessons start bfore progressing onto the huge area of Les Arcs, comprising of Arc 1600, 1800, 1950 & 2000. Serious skiers and boarders will head for Arc 2000 and the glacier served by the Aiguille Rouge cable car. The runs down into Villaroger are amongst some of the best in France.
Summers in the Alps are also fabulous! Whether you want an action-packed adventure including a large variety of water-sports, a walking holiday, epic cycling challenges in Tour de France terrain or to simply relax and enjoy the views, clear air and sun, the alps have it all. The best time to go is in July and August as the resort lifts, shops and restaurants are all open. The weather in the southern Alps during the summer is generallly warm and sunny with temperatures in Bourg St Maurice being in the high 20's, low 30's for much of June, July and August. This being the mountains however, the weather can change rapidly with sudden spectacular thunderstorms and periods of heavy rain, usually followed by clear weather again.

Savoie and Haute Savoie contain some of the most breathtaking scenery in the French Alps and the apartment in Vallandry is 5 kilometres from the gateway to the Savoie National Park in Rosuel. From here, it is a walkers paradise with so many trails and walks in the clear mountain air.
Annecy and Lake Annecy are worth a particular mention as a perfect day of (flat) family cycling around the lake can include a lakeside picnic lunch and a visit to Annecy's ancient streets and canals.
For more serious cyclists, the options are mind-boggling with the most challenging climbs in the Alps all within 50km's of Vallandry. The Cols of Madelaine, Petit St Bernard and the monster D'Iseran are all close by with perhaps the most spectacular ride being up the Cornet de Roseland to the reservoir and then the descent into Beaufort. Simply the best.
Local towns worthy of a day trip out include: Annecy, Albertville, Beaufort, Aosta, Courmayer and Bourg St Maurice.

"fantastic apartment, location and skiing resort for families and friends"
We have stayed in this beautifully located, clean, warm, well equiped, very comfortable apartment for 2 years running as it has allowed us to have a relaxing and fun skiing holiday enjoyed by parents and children alike. The views from the apartment are fantastic, the access to the slopes brilliant (ski in and out to the boot room in the apartment) location of shops and amenities ideal and choice of retaurants and bars great for all ages and tastes. All ranges of skiing ability are catered for and there is a massive amount of snow and skiing to be experienced and enjoyed.
