Valencia offers an alternative Spanish experience to more touristy destinations such as Malaga or the ever-popular Barcelona. Home to paella and allegedly the Holy Grail, Valencia offers cultural and historical treats while also enjoying a well-earned reputation as one of the liveliest cities in Spain.
Valencia is famous for its Fallas festival in March, for being the birthplace of paella, for hosting the 2007 America´s Cup, and for the massive architectural project by Santiago Calatrava called The City of Arts and Sciences. The amazing City of Arts and Sciences is the major tourist attraction in Valencia is which attracts 4 million annual visitors and is equally fascinating to adults and children alike.
Valencia is now firmly established on the European art circuit with galleries containing works by El Greco, Goya and Velázquez. The city's football team is amongst the top teams in the country winning a league and UEFA cup double in 2004/05.
Valencia area
The third-largest city in Spain with a population of some 740,000. It lies on the Mediterranean coast some 350km south of Barcelona. Madrid is a similar distance inland.
Now known as a picturesque city covering some nine square miles, Valencia is noted for its old, narrow streets and attractive blue doomed roofs. Stunning landmarks in the city include its 13th century Cathedral and old fortified towers, built on Roman foundations but now bearing the scars of the Napoleonic invasion. Valencia boasts a formidable history. Founded as a Roman colony, mentions of it first appeared in the second century BC.
Historically, it is believed that the Holy Grail resides in Valencia's cathedral and it was here that El Cid fought the Moors.
The Valencia climate tends to be mild all year round and one of Spain's greatest festivals, Las Fallas, takes place every March when revellers enjoy a week long party with fireworks and massive bonfires every night. The Old Quarter is located in a very small area of the city where old and new are in close proximity of each other.
Lovely shops, bars and restaurants and just five minutes away is the fairytale historic quarter which includes the trendy area of Barrio del Carmen where some of the best nightlife is. Visit the stunning aquarium (largest in Europe) located in the jaw-dropping City of Arts and Sciences. Don't forget to visit the lovely Turia Gardens which are an essential part of this magical city.
A very important bonus is that this magical city is situated next to the Mediterranean sea. Of Spain's 4,900 miles of coastline (which includes the Canary and Balearic Islands and North African territories), Valencia has miles of lovely white sandy beaches. The city beaches have a promenade lined with restaurants and bars where you can sample the local cuisine and a port where the America's Cup was recently held. The 2008 European Grand Prix will be held here in August 2008 on a newly built street circuit around the harbor - just like the one in Monaco!
If you want romance then you've come to the right place! Drive down the coast and inhale the intoxicating orange blossoms from the vast orange groves of Valencia. Swim in the sparkling crystal blue sea, sunbathe on white sandy beaches and enjoy.

Further details indoors: This is a two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The master bedroom has a double bed and the other room has two single beds. There is also a sofa-bed in the living room.
Further details outdoors: Situated in one of the best areas of Valencia in front of the auditorium, and the city of sciences and Arts, the bus 19 opposite the apartment leads to the city centre and beach, however the city centre is less than 10 minutes' walk away.

To make this reservation effective, it is necessary to send a deposit of 150€ minimumor or 20 % of your stay. This is also a damage deposit which we’ll return to you at the end of your stay, Final cleaning service is not included in the price, for 1-4 persons 50 € , 5 or more persons 75€ will be taken off the final amount we return at the end of your stay. Our work schedule is between 9 to 20 hr, if you arrive out of this period there will be an additional charge of 30 euros.
