The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Valencia Province region
Valencia, Spain's third-largest city, is famous for its magnificent orange groves and the beauty of its long beaches, paella (a rice dish with chicken or seafood), and the fallas festival in March. The province of Valencia is the largest of the three which make up the Valencian community. Situated in the centre of the Spanish Mediterranean coastline, it overlooks the Gulf of Valencia and is bordered by a group of medium-high mountains and rolling plains leading to the lands of Aragon and Castile-La Mancha. It is a boat ride away from the Balearic islands and is equidistant from the country's two main cities of Madrid and Barcelona.
Valencia / Valencia City Centre area
Valencia is the administrative capital and the centre of the region of L'Horta. Sightseeing around the city begins in the old quarter. Until the mid-nineteenth century, Valencia was surrounded by a wall to defend the city. Today, only the gates of Torres de Serranos and Torres de Quart along with some walls in the basement of the Valencia institute of Modern Arts remain. The most outstanding artistic heritage is to be found in the districts of Seu and Xerea, where the marks left by the Romans lie hidden beneath Arab ruins and modern churches and palaces. In addition, there are modern attractions such as the Bioparc Valencia, an African-themed safari park in Turia's dried-up riverbed, and Las Ciudad de las Artes y Ciencias.
The city holds many festivals in its calendar, the most famous one being “Las Fallas”, a unique fiesta of Saint Joseph when enormous papier-mache sculptures are set ablaze.

"I had a great time here because of the mixture of modern design in an "old" flat in an old part of Valencia - I will come again soon! Thank you! G. Hoekenheim, Germany

"We had a wonderful stay in Valencia, what a great apartment! The whole week was sunny and nice wheather, so we actually walked for days!" C Verbeek en van Dongen, Netherlands
"The quality of your apartment is certainly a factor of the successful visit to Valencia. It is a very nice apartment, well furnished in a special area of Valencia. In the centre of the town, but quiet to rest and to sleep. The new Mossen Sorell market was opened and the people were very friendly and helpful." L Diepenhorst, Netherlands
"Your apartment is so central, and the Carmen district that it is in was lively and it was so easy to walk everywhere in the old city which is beautiful. The flat was really well kitted out, and we were pleased with the balcony views and the open airy space." M Riley, Northants
