- Travel up to the hinterlands of Valencia and visit the Rincón de Ademuz, the Valley of Ayora and the Requena-Utiel district. The cuisine, landscape, fiestas, popular architecture and historical sites will surprise you.
- Enjoy nature at its best in the Alto Turia district. You can visit the animal reserve of La Serratilla in the mountains near Benagéber, climb the Remedio peak in Chelva, or hike through the ravines formed by the river Turia.
- Spend some time at the Estany lake in Cullera and try an arròs negre (rice in squid ink) at midday. - Play a game of golf in any of the five courses located in the province of Valencia. Enjoy your favourite sport in an exceptional climate.
- Sunbathe on the beaches of Gandia, Oliva, Sueca, Tavernes de la Valldigna, Miramar, Piles and Xeraco. Further inland in the La Safor district, there is a spectacular mountainous landscape just a few kilometres from the sea.

- Rest and relax by ‘taking the medicinal waters’ and bathing at the Cofrentes, Chulilla, Calles or Requena health spas.
- Make sure you make time to take in a classical play at the Roman Theatre of Sagunto.
- Climb up to the castle of Xàtiva, commanding a kingly view of this historic city, and discover the manorial homes and palaces in the city centre.

Xativa area
Strategically placed on the gentle slope of the Sierra del Castillo, surrounded by natural elements that furnish the landscape with an indescribable beauty. The Vía Augusta, once passed close to the municipality, and reveals the important position held by the municipality long ago in Roman times, preserved today on its own merits having been declared a historical - artistic site. Home to the painter José Ribera, The Españoleto and two Popes from the Borja dynasty, Xátiva’s importance has stood out over centuries. In the XI century Europe's first paper mill was installed in the city – paper made from straw and rice, today is still known as "Xativi" paper. From the middle of the XIII century to the beginning of the XVIII century it was the second city in terms of political importance and population in the kingdom of Valencia. As with all important and coveted cities, Xátiva also had a dark era with the arrival of the Borbone family with Philip V, after winning at the battle of Almansa, he ordered the expulsion of the "setabenses" and to burn the city. In recollection of this insult, the village preserves a portrait of the monarch hung upside down in the l'Almodí museum. Xativa, Valencia - The historic Castle and Town of Xativa is just 10 mins away. This large Spanish town is full of historic buildings and has an old part with cobbled walk-ways and plenty of tapas bars and there is also a newer part with exclusive shops and bars/restaurants. The Castle which overlooks the town is open to the public and is well worth a visit. There is a bar and restaurant at the castle too so you can stop for refreshments. The market is open on Tuesdays and Fridays and can be found in the old cobbled streets. Many bargains to be had here. Xativa also has a train station with regular trains to Valencia, Albacete and Alicante. Although there are many fiestas in the Town of Xativa one of the biggest is the Fallas in March, where large effigies are burnt in the streets, The Three Kings on 5th January, where a large carnival like procession is carried out through the town together with firework display and in August usually between the 14th to the 20th there is a large market throughout the main road of the town together with funfair rides and grand firework displays. The town of Xativa is vibrant and totally tradional Spanish with many things here for all age groups.
This villa is situated very close to Xativa, not Bisquert but between Xativa and Genoves in an area of natural beauty and a popular walking trail to the Cova Negra and the rivers of the local area. Closeby is a lovely tennis club which guests are free to use the bar, restaurant and swimming pool and pay to use the tennis club and coaching facilities. Within a 5 minute drive is Xativa golf club (more of a driving range) and the the beautiful historic town of Xativa. The town not only has a historic old town of quaint houses and cobbled streets but a large cosmopolitan area of pavement cafes, bars and restaurants. There are also plenty of boutiques such as Mango and shops selling all the top clothing labels........or the local market, cheap and cheerful that opens twice a week! There is a railway station with good links to Valencia and Alicante airports should you not want to drive but a car is recommended to visit all the nearby sites. We provide a comprehensive books of ideas and day trips off of the well known tourist routes if you wish to visit some of the exceptionally beautiful areas of this stunning district, waterfalls and fresh water pools, wild boar and gorges, traditional Valencian family restaurants and of course the Xativa "horse fair" held in August which should not be missed. The lovely beaches of Gandia, Cullera, Oliva and Tavernes are approx 30 minutes drive, reputedly some of Europes finest beaches but there are litterly dozens of alternatives should that be what you are looking for. The drive to the coast is due to be halved in 2005 when the new motorway opens connecting Xativa to Gandia. Currently the major waterpark near Benidorm is about an hours drive away as is Terra Mitica theme park (Spains answer to Disney World).
You can swim in the natural spring lakes of Anna Chella and Navarres. You can horse ride or hire quad bikes in Enquera (soon to have a golf course) you can walk and ramble amongst old villages and view the true Spain.
