Home descriptionSpacious apartment totally refurbished. All new furniture. Bright and cheerful with big windows.Fine sized living-room, modern kitchen, two bedrooms and a cute bathroom with shower cubicle and lots of plants to look after. We´re on the third floor but there´s no lift. You have air conditioning and heating.From here you have the city at your fingertips. No buses, no taxis. Use the tram and Metro to get around with a bonometro- a ten-trip ticket for 5,60 euros, ideal for getting to the beach. It´s a quiet 10 minute´s walk to the heart of the city through the imposing 14th century Serranos Towers which were and are Valencia´s northern gate.We offer dinner on arrival (no charge, it´s on us) and you´ll have maps, brochures etc. to help you get around.The fridge will be stocked with the basic things to get started. We can prepare dinners on order for you. Towels included of course. We live next door so meet you on arrival and explain the city.

Temps. in July and August in the city are about 30 degrees centigrade. It was founded by the Romans as Valentia and was the retirement place for centurions. The visigoths, moors and others have left their mark here and a visit to the archeological site behind the cathedral is evidence.The city today is the 3rd of Spain and has undergone a rennaiscance over the last few years and hosted the America´s Cup in 2007 and will host the next edition. Around the area a must see is the fresh water lake to the south of the city separated from the Med. by only 50 metres of sand and road. Boat trips are possible. Named the Albufera. As owners we provide maps and brochures so that everybody with us is well informed about all the other places of interest. The sierra Calderona national park with its peaks is 30 mins. away by car as is the home town of the Borgia family in Gandia. A visit to their palace is a good idea. North into the hills toward Segorbe any number of quaint towns are worth a visit. The Sagunto castle place of the mythical siege by Hannibal is at 25kms perched on a mountain it is one of the biggest in Europe. Valencia / Valencia City Centre areaThe Prince Philip science/arts complex along with aquarium, world´s biggest and a planetarium. An ideal alternative to a day at the beach. We have coupons for discounts on entrance charges. The new Bioparc-zoo has just opened its gates. Animals roaming freely without barriers AND ONLY 10 MINS. ON FOOT FROM US.The city has many gardens and parks all with facilities for kids etc. The city centre is easy to walk around. Compact. The cathedral and Michael tower, the biggest food market in Europe, the Guild hall- a superb gothic structure.More than 2500 bars and restaurants at good prices make a visit to the city tempting. It´s safe and laid back. The locals are nice folk. Here you don´t feel crowded in like many traditional resorts. The fiestas here are: Fallas in March with amazing fireworks. The July fair and the TOMATINA in a nearby town where the locals throw 30,000 kilos of ripe tomatoes at each other in the street for one hour in August! Valencia is said to have the best night life in Europe. I think that´s true. Valencia never seems to sleep! For culture vultures 5 top class museums including the ceramic museum which is housed in the most beautiful building in the city- The "Marques de dos Aguas" Then pop into Cafe Madrid just round the corner where Hemingway, Orwell and others spent the civil war- the speciality being Valencian Water -a heady mixture of orange juice vodka and other things! There are 6 major shopping malls littered around the town for people in need of retail therapy. How to get thereFly to Valencia. Taxi is 10 minutes to property. NEW METRO LINE FROM AIRPORT DIRECT TO APARTMENT. JOURNEY TIME 45 MINUTES (LINE 3) and change at BENIMACLET to line 4 west for 3 stops to SAGUNT. From there 2 minutes on foot to us. Very central. No need to take public transport for city centre from apartment.
