In an established city centre residential location just mins direct walk to the imposing Torres de Serranos entrance to Valencia's enchanting historic City and its most liveliest and cosmopolitan quarter of El Carmen. Convenient double fast lift service. On the 5th floor. Two double bedrooms located with windows on to an inner lightwell, thus generally very quiet. Large bright comfortable south facing living/dining on to 'eye of the sun' balcony. Fully equipped kitchen with plenty of storage. Separate bathroom. Rooftop drying area accessible via lift. Map supplied and DVD's. Closest proximity to Historic city for free 'on-street' parking - if with a car . N.B Valencia's historic city is impossible for public parking and usually entails tow-aways & hefty fines of €200 plus. Car-parks can be fairly expensive once located.

Valencia is Spain's third most important city and certainly Spain's most dynamic for regeneration of the inner city. Hosting F.1 Grand Prix racing for 2009
Great sandy 'Blue flag' beaches very closeby. Some of Spain's best night-life.
Fine C.12 Cathedral with resplendant plazas with cafes/bars to stop at and 'let the world go by' just 10 mins walk away in the enchanting and cosmopolitan historic quarter. Good shopping including ; Zara, Loewe, Camper shoes, Five El Cortes Ingles department stores (two just 12 mins). Adolfo Dominquez, Mango, Massimo Dutti and other smart European renowned brands.
Valencia / Valencia City Centre area
A metro service (Sagunt terminus just 150 metres away) runs every 10/20 mins to the beach, Ferias (trade centre) and the port for just 0.58 c. travelling time 18 mins. Excluding the summer season the area of Malverossa/beach can be very quiet. El Carmen/Old City is the social hub of Valencia city - all-year round, for Fiestas, concerts, theatre etc. Europe's foremost City of Arts and Sciences and Palau del Artistes/ Musica, for World beating classical music and opera. Valencia offers culture at every level.
Outside this apartment's building the entrance to the Old City is a direct southerly stroll to the Torres de Serranos. (100m enroute take a left into Santa Isabel for Plaza San Pedro the local food market open Tues - Sat' for good local produce). These massive grand C.14 City gates symbolised Valencia's supremacy at its zenith. Following through to the fine C.12 Cathedral, the 'Centro Historica' @ Plaza de la Virgen and its buzzy cosmopolitan atmosphere. Other fine historical monuments some UNESCO listed are closeby. The 'Fallas' in March amongst many others is Valencia's internationally renowned Fiesta. The IVAAM one of Spain's foremost modern art centre housing four continiously changing global exhibits in it's four large galleries (15 mins walk) Free on Sundays. Children are well catered for in the city with great parks closeby the jardens de Turia/Viveros. The Viveros sports great safe play areas along with Zoological gardens. Just opened for 2008 the city's first *Biopark and possibly Europes largest with over 1000 species of animals in natural settings. Open all year. *Easily accessed by metro in 20 mins.
How to get there
Fly direct to Valencia. Train - 3.5 hours from Barcelona/Madrid. 2.5 hours train or bus 3 hours from Alicante airport. Trains - metro line 3 @ Xativa change at Benimaclet for line 4 westbound terminate @ Sagunto. Bus station just 5 mins by taxi or bus along Calle Ruaya 2 mins walk to bus-stop.
The apartment is just 15 mins from by taxi, cost about €18 from airport. Cheap and easy metro service - just 45 mins approx' for 1.85€ (line 3 change at Benimaclet for line 4, just 16 stops). Then 3 mins direct walk from Sagunto terminus. Coupled with a long weekend or a (much cheaper flights) a value mid-week break.
Take advantage of Britain's- Valencia's competitive internet airlines from Bristol, London, East Midlands. Main carriers. All-year are Clickair.com, Easy-jet. Rumbo.es for late deals. Also check Alicante airport for value flights.

South facing balcony partially shaded by a magnificent Eucalyptus making it perfect for unwinding whilst enjoying a glass of wine 'watching the world go by' - any time of the year. This apartment is not overlooked or hemmed in by other apartment blocks thus giving it a very pleasurable ambience. Bathroom fully refitted summer 2006. Well equipped kitchen for daily living. Premium quality sprung mattresses to ensure a good night's sleep.
Further details outdoors: This apartment is straight forward to get to by car if required.. First turning left past the Torres Del Serranos over the bridge turn left and third turning on the right for Calle Sagunto. Also easy for accessing all main road connections for all major Spanish cities.
Choice of excellent value supermarkets 3/4 mins in locality. El Carmen/Old City Valencia's 'most happening' epicentre with great trendy bars, hundreds of restaurants to suit every taste and budget. Elegant marble paved pedestrianised plazas; perfect for taking time out and watching the world go by, few mins stroll away. Metro for the beach/port/F.1 city circuit is 3 mins away. Valencia city is so easy to go from city centre shopping etc to swimming/sunbathing on a great sandy beach iwithin just 20 mins. Viveros park, Valencia's finest park is 5 mins away. Great outdoor pool with bar set in shadey sub-tropical gardens just adjacent to Viveros park....perfect for cooling off and relaxing.
The delightful Turia, over 9 km of recreational park/sports/fountains/cafes leading along to the Palaus del Musica and iconic Palau del Artistes terminating at the City of Arts and Science; (Europes largest and most avante-garde) is accessed 4 mins away. Touring 'world-class' International artistes/orchestras/Opera and their conductors at the acclaimed Palaus. The Turia is delightful for cycling around the city and off to the beaches in relative seclusion. The prestigious IVAAM home of contemporary global art and Spain's second established (1819) delightful Botanical gardens are just 15 mins walk.
All the major historic monuments of note are either just across the Serranos bridge or within easy walking distance.

N.B; Valencia's public transport although excellent finishes early at 23.30........half-way through a Spanish dinner let alone a late drink !. The apartment's location is safe and easy for walking back to late at night from El Carmen.
