N.B Valencia's Historic city and its immediate surrounds are quite impossible for parking & notorious for tow-away's €200 +. Access all major motorways ie; Barcelona, Alicante, Madrid within mins using CV 35 & A7 & minimize 00's of lights & complicated one- way systems found elsewhere throughout the city via CV35 to/from A7.
The excellent v.nearby metro/tram (none within Historic city - think fragile ancient buildings etc) & most bus services finish early 23.29 - saving you from wasting your time & money on unnecessary taxis which invariably are quite impossible during the city's numerous fiestas. The city's two most famous C.14 iconic historic buildings are en-route - No more losing your bearings, particularly useful in the early hours or if having left your smartphone behind!

Parents & friends of Erasmus or University students will appreciate the ready convenience of metro/tram 'Sagunto' L.4 metro/tram 1 min walk & direct services to the city's main faculties within 3-5 mins. Valencia is Spain's third most important city and certainly Spain's most dynamic for regeneration of the inner city. Hosting F.1 Grand Prix racing bi-anually.
Glorious fine sandy 'Blue flag' beaches within 15mins (in contrast to Barcelona's rough & coarse builders gravel imitations)
Some of Spain's best value night-life during the summer months down at the beaches. All year around action in cosmo' Carmen 5 mins - no need for taxis or even searching for one! N.B much of the Historic city is semi- pedestrianized. Canovas - around the elegant Gran Via Maquis del Turia @ 20mins walk, 5 mins taxi.
Splendid C.12 Cathedral with resplendant plazas with cafes/bars to stop at and 'let the world go by' just 10 mins walk away in the enchanting and cosmopolitan historic quarter.
Good shopping including ; Zara, Loewe, Camper shoes, Five El Cortes Ingles department stores (two just 12 mins). Adolfo Dominquez, Mango, Massimo Dutti and other smart European renowned brands around Calle Colon.
Metro/tram service - Sagunt terminus @125 metres runs every 10 - 20 mins to the beach & the quirky but charming fishermans barrio of Cabanyal with its amazingly eclectic mix of 'Nouveau & 'Deco buildings, now under the watchful eye of the World Monuments Fund. Ferias (trade centre) and the America's cup port for just 65c - travelling time 15 mins. Excluding the summer season, the area of Malverossa/beach can be very quiet. El Carmen/Old City is the social & most cosmopilitan city hub - year-round, for Fiestas, concerts, theatre etc. Europe's foremost City of Arts and Sciences the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia & Palau de la Musica, for World beating classical music and opera. Valencia offers culture at every level.
Outside this apartment's building the entrance to the Old City is a direct southerly stroll to the Torres de Serranos. These imposing C.14 City gates symbolised Valencia's zenith. Following through to the fine C.12 Cathedral, the 'Centro Historica' @ Plaza de la Virgen and the city's liveliiest & most cosmopolitan area of Carmen.. Other fine historical monuments some UNESCO listed are closeby.
The 'Fallas' March 14-19th amongst many others is Valencia's internationally renowned Fiesta.
The IVAAM one of Spain's foremost modern art centre housing four continiously changing global exhibits within four large galleries (15 mins walk) Free on Sundays. Charming cafe/bar terrace for civilised relaxation.
Children are well catered for in the city with great parks within 4-6 mins. The city's finest 9km jardens de Turia 'un rio de cultura' - see www.culturia.org - to really appreciate, just what's on offer. The Turia gardens meander peacefully through to the City of Arts and Science and the Palaus del Musica and Artistes (opera house). The delightful and shadey Royal Viveros gardens @5-6min walk sports great safe play area. The Biopark possibly Europes largest with over 1000 species of animals in natural settings. Open all year. *Easily accessed by metro in 20 mins or 45min stroll.

"This apartment met all our requirements - and more"
We found this apartment by chance when searching the Internet for free parking in Valencia. How glad we were. After a few false starts we managed to park in a perfect spot visible from our balcony. The apartment was clean, well prepared and well equipped, even though we only booked the day before our arrival. David and Javi were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The location was ideal within minutes of old town and Turia park. The metro station is round the corner and we bought a card of 10 tickets which made it very easy to go to the seaside and other places. Although we were in a city apartment, the lovely balcony made us feel as though we were in a garden. We were directed to El Bokeito taverna for Wifi access, but it became our favourite place for drinks and tapas.

Parking around the centre of Valencia can invariably be a nightmare and fortunately with so many closeby streets with nominal restrictions this has to be one of the easier locations without having to fork out extra euros (usually 25€ per 24hours!). El bocaito has really taken off - & rightly so as you confirmed with its excellent value food & friendly service - where you can enjoy the best of offerings at 20-30% less than any comparable El Carmen bar/brasserie offering & 'hook-up'(internet) for the price of a beer/coffee. We're please that you found everything to up to standard and enjoyed relaxing out on the delightful balcony such a bonus. You probably didn't have need to use the living room air-con' as there is always a pleasant breeze throughout the apartment as on the 5th floor, however we have now repaced this elderly unit for a new efficient inverter type (eco-friendly) 'whisper quiet'model as part of our ongoing improvements and intentions to continue offering great value.....

"Great Location... great value comfortable appartment."
Had a great stay. First trip to Valencia and loved it.The location was perfect for the old town and main attractions. David was very welcoming, helpful and full of information. He was also very accommodating around 'non-standard' arrival and departure times. Having rented apartments before, we particularly appreciated extras such as loo roll, hand soap and washing up liquid... cooking oil etc. Thanks very much David... had a great time.

"Great apartment to discover fabulous Valencia!"
Easy to book and great communications from the landlord throughout. We were met at the apartment and given lots of useful information and two sets of keys. Great as we were two couples travelling together. The apartment was as expected from the photos. Great living room area with balcony over the street and a good sized dining table. Bedroom two was small as we read on other reviews but the bed was very comfortable which is much more important. Extra pillows and blankets were supplied and there was masses of storage space in the apartment. It was really helpful to have basic items in the kitchen and bathroom such as soap, washing up liquid, foil, clingfilm and toilet rolls which saved us having to buy all these items just for a week. The location was excellent for us. A short walk to the historic centre but in an area where we could take part in the local Fallas celebrations in the streets nearby.All the amenities were close by, bakery for breakfast and supermarkets for provisions, and bus and tram stops for trips to the beach and marina. The landlords could not have been more helpful and were able to accomodate our early departure time. I have already recommended the apartment to family and friends. Valencia is a beautiful city with so much to do and see. We were there for the Fallas celebrations which have to be seen to be believed. We need to return again and see all the things we couldn't fit into our week and would happily book the same apartment again.
Thanks for your kind recommendations and I'm really pleased that you all enjoyed a fantastic stay over the Fallas fiesta which invariably can be quite tiring and that you found our apartment well located to be able to quickly step back-to without losing the tremendious buzzing atmosphere; for a quick & necessary recharge. The pleasant lively terraced cafes & bars as you mention closeby offer great value from breakfasts through to dinner or just a delicious 'cafe con leche' and allow some well earned feet easing or just enjoying & watching the local world go by... "Ideal for sightseeing"
Very comfortable with very easy access to essential shops and a short walk to access transport to all interesting places. Well equipped kitchen, it would have been useful if there were English instructions for the washing machine. The nights were chilly in March but lots of extra bedding supplied. Everything nice and clean and regular cleaning in the entrance and hallways. Very good elevator system.
Thanks for reminding me re; manual for washing machine. I'll see whether it's possible to download one to make life easier! - as one supplied Spanish only. I'm pleased that you found everything readily convenient and the dual lift service really is great - extremely efficient consequently invariably there's little need to have to share with other neighbours. Interestingly the building was constructed to quite a high Spanish standard and is maintained accordingly.

I'm very please to note your points re; cleanliness, comforts, location and close proximity to all the city's best cultural & recreational attractions whether by ease of short walks or quick and efficient public transport. The city's ayuntiamiento/town hall has just completed a full project of pedestrianisation of the ancient C.14 Serranos Puente/bridge leading directly to Carmen & the Historic city which will now enable future guests to enjoy a much more relaxed enroute approach and enjoy a far more interesting perspective into this city's former glories and illustrious history whilst on their visits.
