  • Private garden

Our cottage opened for bookings in 2014 and is a secluded self-catered bolt-hole sleeping up to 4 people, 12 miles from Nottingham. Whether you are looking for a quiet break away from the busy hustle of the city, or a base for walking or exploring the area, we can make sure your stay is the relaxing break you are looking for.

The rural village of Langar is a relatively well kept secret and lies within the beautiful Vale of Belvoir. It is easily accessed from all directions and is located near to the delightful market town of Bingham with its shops, delicatessens, amenities and pubs only 3 miles away. We are fortunate enough to have the stunning Langar Hall, winner of Britain's best rural hotel 2013, situated a few minutes walk from the cottage and is ideal for that special meal or occasion. The Unicorn's Head, our local village pub, is an even shorter walk offering a wide range of meals 7 days a week.

The cottage is set in the grounds of a Grade II listed Georgian farmhouse and has its own paddock and field views. The accommodation comprises 2 elegant bedrooms, both of which are en-suite. A welcome hamper will await you at the cottage. It includes some basic items as well as freshly laid eggs from our own farmhouse hens! There is a large private garden with south facing patio area on which to eat breakfast or to simply stargaze in the evening. Parking for 2-3 cars is on the private drive adjacent to the cottage.

Many thanks for such high praise and useful feedback. It's good to know Langar was a good base for you especially as we are rather 'in the sticks'! Glad you enjoyed the Christmas tree and were able to get together over christmas. I appreciate your having taken time to review and would be happy to welcome you back sometime.

"Wonderful service - will defintely return"

A beautiful cottage, the pictures don't do it justice and the service from the owners was fabulous. Came out to find us at a local pub when we got lost in the dark and the driving rain. Not onl… More

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our property. We are so pleased you had a relaxing break and enjoyed the cottage, it's features and surroundings. We realise the cottage can be a little tricky to find in the dark, even with directions, and now that we have been able to acquire the track leading to it we will be able to put up some signage. We'd be delighted to welcome you back in the summer

Thank you so much for your lovely review and we're really pleased you all had such a super birthday weekend. It sounds corny but if our guests are happy then we are also. Glad we were able to suggest somewhere for afternoon tea for you. Please do come again, we'd love to have you back - weather is much better in the summer so you could get to use the wooden table and chairs outside!
