The Algarve / Central Algarve region

Varandas do Lago is situated in the Golden Triangle of the Algarve, between the well known resorts of Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago in Almancil, Algarve. This area is famous for its sandy beaches and its many golf courses. Our Villa is just minutes walk from the miles of unspoilt sandy beaches at Ancão. The internationally renowned resorts of Vale do Lobo, Quinta do Lago and Vale do Garrão are close neighbours; the fabulous 5 star golf courses of Quinta do Lago, San Lorenzo and Vale do Lobo are just one 'shot' away.
The luxury development of Varandas do Lago is situated in the Nature Reserve of Ria Formosa on the Algarve. One of the few unpolluted coastal zones that remain in Europe, Ria Formosa has more than 200 species of birds, many of them rare, and they are a constant delight year round.
