The Algarve / Central Algarve region
Vale do Lobo has been one of the top European resorts for many years. The Algarve has plenty of sunshine but the Atlantic coast prevents the area from become too stiflingly humid. Although it is on the coast there are many places of interest inland and lovely walks in the hills above Loule.
Vale do Lobo area
Locally their are markets in Almancil, Quarteira and Loule. Within a short drive their are Aquaparks. Vale do Lobo is also well located for discovering other Algarve delights such as the port at Tavira, the city of Faro which is much more than the name of the local airport, and the hill towns of Monchique and Silves. The beaches of the Algarve are well renowned for their golden sands and interesting rock formations and there are many lovely coastal walks to discover.
How to get there
Ryanair, Easyjet, Monarch, Aer Lingus and BA to name but a few all fly to Faro from most UK airports. We use ZitAuto for our car hire. Good vehicles with no frills (ie expensive offices!) Zitauto <zitauto@mail.telepac.pt>

Dear Charles Just a note to say how much we all enjoyed staying at your lovely villa. When we arrived the villa was immaculate and wonderfully equipped. We were blessed with perfect weather (not too hot so we could play lots of tennis) and enjoyed the pool. We have stayed in many villas on Vale de Lobo over the past few years and yours was far and away the best!! Let's hope that we can return next year! JB
