Near to fabulous restaurants serving fish, Chinese, French, Indian, Japanese, sea food, snacks, pancakes etc. Crazy golf, 2 championship golf courses within 5 minutes' drive (Ocean Course and Royal Course at Vale Do Lobo). Fitness centres, football academy for children, golf range, golf courses for children and adults great putting area, daily activity programme for children and adults, group or individual tennis tuition and competitions. Great sandy beach stretching for approx 20 miles lots of quaint beachside restaurants where very high quality food is served, watersports available within 2 minutes of the villa.
Villa is situated in a fantastic location close to all amenities but still in a very quiet location with beautiful scenery and beautiful mature gardens where the children can play happily for hours. This villa has never been rented out - up until now it has only been used by ourselves as a holiday villa and is decorated to the highest quality. The villa has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms which means that there is no queuing for the toilet or showers.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
Dunas Douradas' name means "Golden Beaches". It is truly like Barbados - miles and miles of sandy beaches with beautiful beach side cafes scattered sympathetically by the beach. Dunas Douradas itself is not at all crowded; however, if you want more of the action Vale Do Lobo offers this and has a super Praca where there are many high quality restaurants and bars to choose from, along with things to do with the children.
Dunas Douradas has its own designated sun beds at a small charge and also a sea guard to monitor the bathers. Water sports are in abundance and are located within several minutes' walk of the beach. There are numerous showers and toilets along the beach as well. Drinks and food can be taken from the bars and restaurants to the beach in plastic containers.
Vale do Lobo / Dunas Douradas area
Golf courses are in abundance, Ocean and Royal at Vale Do Lobo. The South and North Course at Quinta Da Lago with the famous San Lorenzo and Pinheros Altos are also situated at Quinta Da Lago. All of these are within a 5 - 10 minute drive. Travel a little further (say, 20 minutes) and there are another 7 golf courses nearby: Vilourma, Old Course, Millenium courses.
In addition to golf there is a tennis academy at Vale do Lobo with approx 16 courts. Daily group and individual training sessions are available together with a weekly programme or 1, 2, 3 day customized training dates at your disposal. There are 3 fitness centres, Vale Do Lobo central, Vale Do Lobo Tennis, and at the Barringtons Centre where you are attend yoga, step, Pilates etc. These normally run every hour from 9:30 am to approx 7 pm 7 days a week. Personal Training can also be arranged. There are 2 golf ranges and a full programme of sessions for the family, individual children and adult one to one or group pro coaching.
Depending on the age of your children there is a nightclub in the Praca at Vale Do Lobo which starts at 11pm and normally ends at 6am. Vale Do Lobo and Dunas Douradas have 24 hour security so you always feel safe and relaxed in the paradise location that you are in.
There are also lots of shopping outlets within 30 mins of Dunas Douradas where you can shop to your hearts content most of what you have the in UK is here. In addition, there are cinemas with the showing of latest releases in English, you can even get ice creams and pop corn during the interval in one of the cinemas which is very quaint.
Horse riding school is within 4 min drive and has an excellent reputation. Waterparks are situated at Quarteria and Zoo Marine which are 15 mins to 40 mins drive away. Zoo Marine is a smaller version of the Orlandos Sea World but is very professional and well worth a visit with the kids or without them, great day out and lots of restaurants and cafes to choose from. There are also children's rides and a large outdoor poor with baby pools and play areas etc.
How to get there
PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO VALE DO LOBO, TENNIS SIDE, AND 3/4 MINS WALK TO BEACH AND RESTAURANTS, YOU DO NOT NEED A CAR. IF YOU ARE STAYING IN VARANDOS DO LAGO, VALE DO GARRAO OR QUINTA VILLAGE YOU WILL NEED A CAR OR TAXI TO GET TO BEACH AND RESTAURANTS.
PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT IN CERTAIN AREAS OF DUNAS DOURADAS AND VALE DO LOBO THERE IS CONSTRUCTION GOING ON SO PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN BOOKING. OUR VILLA IS SITUATED IN AN ESTABLISHED AREA OF DUNAS DOURADAS AWAY FROM THE BUILDING WORK.
Fly into Faro Airport from most European airports. From Manchester flights take about 2 hours - we are 20 minutes from the airport but there's no noise from planes which is great.
We have our own Management Company in Portugal that act just like a hotel conceige service they are available to you 24/1 and can arrange car hire at the airport or at the villa. No job is too small for the management agency and they provide excellant service. We monitor all of our service providers to you and so far have had a 100% sucess rate this year, this year being the first year that we have rented.
The taxi fare is normally 25/30 Euros and takes about 20 mins. Aim for Almancil and then follow signs to Vale Do Lobo and pick up signs to Dunas Douradas when near to Vale Do Lobo. We normally use Monarch airlines as the service as always been on time and of a high standard.
Please look up the web site for Vale Do Lobo and Dunas Douradas before you book to see the superb location and perfect beaches awaiting your arrival. This area is 5 star and is particularly safe for children we have been coming out to Portugal for 13 years now and love it! We have an excellant reputation for looking after our clients and have received lots of excellant customer feedback. We also have a 5 star rating management agency who will look after you at the property and deal with all of your requests prior to your arrival ie booking restaurants, car hire etc it is like being in your own luxury hotel with a 24 hour conceige service.

Morrison - The villa and location was exactly what was detailed. The villa was spacious and had everything that we could wish for. There were lots of books left in the villa which was a bonus. The restaurants were plenty and we particularly enjoyed the chinese at the Tennis Centre the food and service was excellant. We used the bbq at the villa a lot and enjoyed the peaceful location and the children also liked it a lot. The Management agency couldnt have been more helpful. I even booked the car hire with the management agency, not only was it a lot cheaper than Hertz but it was easy to find and pick up and drop off at the airport which enabled me to get straight to the villa and relax.
We love Portugal and will probably return next year. It was a wonderful family holiday experience.
