The Algarve / Central Algarve region
Al Gharb has a rich history apart from its great Portuguese hospitality, sandy beaches and seafood. English is widely spoken. The Property is situated in the prestigious golden triangle region and it is south facing towards the ocean. There are various accessible beaches: Garrao, a 15 mins walk or 5 mins by car (1.3km); Vale do Lobo at 20 min walk and 5 min by car or Ancao at 25 min walk or 7 min by car. All boast reknowed bars and restaurants catering for various palates. Vale do Lobo with its various golf courses, restaurants, bars also has children's play area, crazy golf. Sun beds and umbrellas can be hired. Swimming conditions are usually good in clear luke warm water but always check with the flag or the locals on conditions.
The Algarve has a rich history and it is worth exploring. The Spanish boarders are within easy reach, and a day trip to Andalusia is worth a visit.
Vale do Lobo / Quinta Jacintina area
The Garrao area as it was known before the all the following resorts appeared: Vale do Lobo, Quinta Jacintina, Quinta do Lago, Vale do Garrao, Dunas Douradas and such developments are all within a stone's throw away from each other, providing a plethora of activities from Golf, Tennis, Horse Riding, Go Karting, Restaurants, Bars etc etc.
You can easily drive from east to west of Algarve within 1 hour. Therefore you can choose how to spend your days...busy, noisy, relaxed or whichever way as all can be accessed within a short drive away. Whether it is shopping, eating, clubbing or indeed enjoying other beaches. The Algarve is your oyster and on that note it is a Seafood paradise!
How to get there
Fly to Faro, Portugal and follow road to Almancil (Central Algarve). From there follow signs to Quinta do Lago. Here take the straight road, which goes to Vale do Lobo and turn left soon after the Pinetrees Horse Riding place towards Ancao Beach, Varandas do Lago etc. As soon as you enter this road turn immediately right into the first available road. You have arrived at the development. Go straight up and turn right into a little cul de sac at the top of the road. Casa Barakat is at the top! The fourth bathroom is downstairs so that once you come out of the pool you can access it easily. The garden has a private stone/brick, free standing barbeque as well as a large stone table and seating. The pool is lit and is in the rear garden which is beautifully lawned and is also lit. The whole property has a hedge and is fully fenced at the rear to give the added seclusion and privacy.
