Vale do Lobo / Varandas Do Lago area
Varandas do Lago is situated in the Golden Triangle of the Algarve, between the well known resorts of Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago in Almancil, Algarve. This area is famous for its sandy beaches and its many golf courses. Varandas do Lago is situated in the Nature Reserve of Ria Formosa on the Algarve. One of the few unpolluted coastal zones that remain in Europe, Ria Formosa has more than 200 species of birds, many of them rare, and they are a constant delight year round.
How to get there
Faro Airport is only 20 minutes drive away. Car Hire is recommended and details of a professional private car hire company can be supplied if requested - saves all the queueing at the main car hire desks!
