The Algarve region

The Algarve is a small reqion but very accessible due to its traffic free motorway system. There are many sightseeing opportunities in terms of the 12th century moorish castles to the many small churches and cathedrals. Seville and Lisbon are within a two hour rail or car journey.

The Algarve is a very safe location which has good weather and world class golf courses along with many other family attractions. The Val do Lobo area itself offers the visitor quality beaches, excellent restaurants to suit all budgets and many opportunities to play other activities such walking, bird watching at the inland salt water marshesand a wide range of sporting facilities.

Vale do Lobo / Jardins do Golfe area

This world famous established resort of Vale do Lobo has over one thousand properties of different styles and sizes. It is set in acres of woodlands and golf courses sloping down to the cliffs and sandy beaches. Located within the resort are two eighteen-hole golf courses with some holes enjoying spectacular views.

Tennis players are also well catered for at the Vale do Lobo tennis academy. The Barringtons sport and health club offers excellent facilities and a thirty bay driving range. Other leisure facilities like a crazy golf course, beach sports and a resort pool (charge payable) make it an ideal location for a family holiday. Situated by the beachfront is the heart of Vale do Lobo is the “Praça”. This is a meeting point where holidaymakers can browse around the shops and visit the restaurants, bars and nightclubs.

The Jardins Do Golfe is situated a short distance from the main entrance to the Val Do Lobo estate adjacent to 2nd hole of the Royal Course and just 1,3 kilometres away from the Val Do Lobo beach and night life and the Praca with all its restaurants, bars, cafes and night clubs.

The Jardin Do Golfe offers an appealing u-shaped complex built on three floors and is set in spacious, established gardens, which are well maintained and peaceful. The complex offers a large pleasant outdoor adult swimming pool, with an adjacent children's pool. Within the summer months there is a pool side bar where you can obtain hot snacks.

How to get there

There are many budget and scheduled flights to Faro. The main airlines are BA, Monarch, Easyjet and Globsespan. Like any international airport all the major rental car hire companys are located. We've used many but it's always best to shoparound.
