The Algarve / West Algarve region
The Algarve is the name of the southern coast of Portugal, incorporating, amongst others, the towns of Faro, Lagos, and Sagres. The region's administrative centre is the town of Faro, which has its own international airport.
The Algarve is a popular destination for tourism, primarily because of its clean, warm water beaches, Mediterranean climate, safety and relatively low costs. The length of the south-facing coastline is approximately 155 kilometres. Beyond the westernmost point of Cape St Vincent it stretches a further 50 kilometres to the north. The coastline is notable for picturesque limestone caves and grottoes, particularly around Lagos, which are accessible by powerboat. Praia da Marinha, Lagoa was classified as one of the 100 most beautiful and well preserved beaches of the world. There are many other beautiful and famous summer places such as Albufeira, Vilamoura, Portimão, Lagos, Armação de Pêra, Quarteira, Monte Gordo and Tavira.
Vale do Boi area
Burgau is situated on the Western side of the Algarve on the edge of the National Park. It is a working fishing village with winding cobbled streets and fisherman's cottages. Situated approximately 12 km from the historic town of Lagos and 24 km from Sagres. Sagres is the most south-westerly village in Mainland Europe. Although Burgau is a small picturesque village it has 2 supermarkets, various bars, (including a beach bar) and several restaurants. Formore night life then Lagos is a 15 minute drive away From Burgau you can travel in land and see spectacular countryside where time can stand still. Or head for the west coast and see the stunning rugged coastline and its many beautiful sandy beaches.

Further details indoors: The living area has a fully equipped kitchen and open plan dining room adjacent to a large lounge with a stunning fireplace as its centre piece. Next to the lounge is a games area complete with , magnetic darts and play station. The second bathroom is conveniently situated on the ground floor. The entire ground floor has covered terracing, which not only keeps the interior cool, but provides an ideal retreat from the sun whilst still capturing the amazing views and tranquility. Throughout the villa, in the communal areas, there are glass atrium's that provide natural sunlight, the hallway being the largest. Eco-tourism is a new market which this villa has been included. For any eventualities, we only live with walking distance of the villa. This villa is powered by the wind and the sun and is totally self sufficient.

The Spa therapy facilities are solar heated pool, and treatments. Mandy,Susan & Ali, are a fully qualified holistic and sports therapists, with years of experience worldwide. A range of treatments that include reflexology, hot stone massage, aromatherapy, Swedish massage Sports massage and facials are available to individuals or group bookings. Please ask for a price list to be sent. It is advisable to pre-book before your holiday. Can we suggest that the complementary treatment should be the reward for the hardworking person, who books this holiday!, however, it can be redeemed by one of your party staying. Having these optional Spa facilities at hand, there is no need to worry about child minding, car arrangements or unexpected expenses. Giving the adults the maximum benefit form their holiday too.
