The house was built relatively recently
with traditional Provençal materials, attractive tiled floors and beamed
ceilings giving it the charm of an older property. The rooms are spacious and
light as the house is south facing with many French windows. The interior is
very comfortably furnished in contemporary style, tastefully decorated and
equipped to a high standard.
Ground floor: A spacious open-plan living room with comfortable seating,
satellite television, DVD, CD player, Wi-Fi, dining area and French windows
leading to the garden. Pretty Provençal style kitchen very well equipped with
hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, electric kettle, with French
windows opening onto covered terrace with large, stylish outdoor dining
table. Laundry room with washing machine and freezer. Double (180cm) with
en-suite bathroom with bath, shower over bath, bidet and WC, air conditioning
(effective in cooling all 3 bedrooms in evening), French windows opening to
grassy terrace. Double (140cm) with French windows opening to grassy terrace.

Lower ground floor: Twin bedroom (can form a king double) opens on to the garden and
is on the same level as the swimming pool and next to the gym area. Shower

films (2 x 1m), comfortable sofa bed (converts to double) when house is let
to 10 people, en-suite bathroom with bath, hand-held shower and WC.
Outside: A
wonderful south-facing grassy terrace overlooking the pool and a large
covered dining area. Beautiful, secluded garden (2500m²), with lawn,
flowerbeds, shrubs and mature trees including a superb mulberry tree. The
swimming pool is large (12 x 5m) with wide steps, safety alarm and a jet
stream set to swim against the current. Pool area is gated from the main part
of the house. Next to the pool, is another large covered terrace with garden
furniture, bar, fridge and large gas BBQ. Many extras such as table tennis,
badminton, mini-billiards, darts, golf clubs and gym equipment. Electronic
gateway and plenty of parking within the property.
The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region
The property is about 1.5k from the village centre. Valbonne has retained much of its sixteenth century character and at the heart of the village is the beautiful Places des Arcades, a square surrounded by cafés, restaurants, and excellent little shops. Tennis 3k and Victoria golf course about 3k. Biot, about 5k, is another pretty village well worth a visit; there is a very pleasant marked path from Valbonne to Biot along the River Brague, a leisurely 3 hour walk mostly in the shade. Mougins, a nearby hilltop village, about 5k, is famous for its gastronomy. The coast is 12k and the nearest beaches are at Antibes. Antibes is a lively and interesting old town with many restaurants, cafés, an excellent market, and the Musée Picasso in spectacular position on the ramparts of the old town overlooking the sea. Water park with rides called Marineland just outside Antibes. No visit to the Riviera would be complete without a trip to Cannes, about 14k, with exclusive boutiques, classy cafés on the Croisette (seafront), beach restaurants, glamorous yachts and a wonderful daily market behind the picturesque old harbour. It is possible to explore the coast easily by car; Monaco is only about 45 minutes' drive. There is also an excellent train service and this is a very pleasant way to visit the coastal towns; there are railway stations in Biot and in Antibes. Nice airport is about 20k.
