The property has five bedrooms and four bathrooms (3 en suite), 2 reception rooms, TV den and fabulous designer kitchen. Beamed ceilings, stone walls with wooden doors and large orginal fireplaces create an atmosphere which is at once country-style and refined.
Set within a mature olive grove of over 2 acres, there are lawns, fruit trees and secret spots to while away the time. There's a south-facing infinity pool (10m x 5m) set in a sheltered pool area with steps to a large stone dining terrace with covered outdoor kitchen and traditional BBQ.
A fantastic place to get away from it all and yet still have everything at your fingertips. The perfect place for families with plenty of space to run around in as well as good entertaining space.
The mas is located along a peaceful country lane, the garden adjoining the grounds of the Chateau du Rouret, near the picturesque village of Le Rouret. There are lovely views over the olive groves to the sea and some great walks. Just a few minutes drive into the village, restaurants and local amenities, it's only 20 minutes from the coast and 25 minutes minutes from Nice airport.
The charm of a traditional farm house is all around and yet with careful and sympathetic restoration there is nothing lacking. A michelin starred restaurant is a stroll away as is access to some breathtaking walks in the local forest.
From the shimmering lights on the coast to the skiing, only one hour away, this is an ideal base from which to explore the well known Cote D'azur. All the charm of a traditional 17th century mas with 300m2 spread over 3 floors lovingly restored to provide a fantastic living space. This is a house that works well for a group of friends or families as there is ample living space with two living rooms. A terrace is reached from the middle floor perfect for a breakfast looking across the olive trees and down to the sea.

The mas is set within a mature olive grove of over 2 acres and is surrounded by a lawned garden dotted with fruit trees, lavender beds and agaves. From the house, French windows lead out to a delightful stone terrace with table and chairs, an original well, boules court and a large covered outdoor dining area with a big traditional BBQ, sink and fridge. From here a few steps lead into the pool area – a sheltered terrace with 10m x 5m infinity swimming pool, separate shower room, sunbeds and parasols.
From the house and garden there are beautiful views over the surrounding countryside to the sea. Stroll along the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, join the jet set on the Cannes Croisette, or take the stunning Gourdon walk through the Gorge du Loup. Or simply sit back under the olive trees with a glass of chilled rose wine. It’s a place to take at your own pace.
The Valbonne / Le Rouret area
Easy walking distance to national park made up mainly of mature oaks, once at the top there are views to the sea and from Nice to Cannes.
Le Rouret is a tradional provencal village where there are several local shops including a good-sized supermarket and Michelin star restaurant - Le Clos St Pierre. The locals often play boules on the place and there is a bistro, local produce organic shop and pizza restaurant also within the village.
The larger, livelier village of Valbonne, humming with cafes, restaurants and shops is about five minutes away
Tennis courts, golf courses, beaches, breath-taking walks all easily accesible. Zip wire fun to be had within the gorge less than 20 minutes drive away. World renown art gallery, fondation meaght, and the famed village of St Paul de Vence within short drive.
Beach, marine land and Antibes also just a long the coast.
The Cannes film festival in May kicks off the summer season. Shortly followed by the Monaco Grand Prix and then the summer festivalswith open air live music across the region during the summer. Take a train along the coast and drop into Italy for their big markets.
There is so much to choose from all within the area, whether you head to the coast or into the hills for the famous perfum town of Grasse and neighbouring provencal villages.

The property is located along a quiet residential lane just 500 metres from the heart of the picturesque Provencal village of Le Rouret . It’s about 15 minutes to St Paul de Vence and Grasse, about half an hour to Cannes, Antibes and the beaches of the Côte d’Azur and 20 minutes from Nice airport.
Flights to Nice from the UK are operated by all major airlines including EasyJet and British Airways. There are car hire companies located at the airport including Hertz and Europcar. There is parking on the property both within the gated entrance and just outside in a sheltered bay.

We love this place. We have visited with friends and family on many occasions over the years.
Mas de l'Olivier has been a great base when we have attended events like the Monaco Formula 1 Grands Prix, Monte Carlo Masters Tennis, Cannes Film Festival and Antibes Underwater Film Festival. We have also been cycling, paragliding and dinghy sailing.
But there really is no need to leave the house. The pool is perfect, the BBQ makes delicious meals, the beautiful garden is huge, and we love playing boules on the petanque court. The house stays cool in the hottest months, and there is nothing better than a log fire when there is a chill in the evening air.

Mas de L'Olivier is available for holiday rental throughout the year rented weekly from Saturday to Saturday during high season (May-September) and with flexible dates at other times of year. Check in time is 1600 and check out time is 1000.
Rates include all linen, towels, pool towels and services. Weekly change of linen included. Cleaning service can be arranged upon request. We expect the house to be left as you find it and otherwise will charge a cleaning fee of 100 Euros. This means that the rooms should be clean, beds stripped, all the bins emptied, dishwasher emptied, fridge emptied and cleaned. All recycling and bottles taken to the bottle banks with cooker and bbq cleaned as they were on arrival.
We will take a non-refundable 20% deposit with the booking and then the full amount 6 weeks prior to arrival. 20% damage deposit is also required 1 month prior to the start of the rental period, this is to be paid as a 200 Euro cash and the remainder in cheque form.Enquire now
