Home description
La Palliere faces La Condamine (the common) and three ski runs. Beuil is one of the oldest ski villages in France and hosted the first ski jumping! When not covered in snow the Condamine is carpeted with wild flowers. The paired villages of Beuil-Valberg boast 300 days of sunshine a year. A choice of restaurants is nearby, or why not stay in by a blazing log fire with a bottle of wine and a good film.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region
Low cost skiing, fantastic walking and beautiful scenery on the doorstep. Beaches and the sophistication of the Cote d'Azur just over an hour’s drive away. The Mercantour National Park is a treasure waiting to be explored. The famous Grandes Route des Alpes passes by the house on its way from Menton on the Med to Thonon on Lake Geneva.
Valberg area
The linked ski resorts of Beuil and Valberg are one of the oldest winter sports resorts in France, boasting 300 days of sunshine a year. They offer 90km of connected pistes comprising 6 black, 22 red and 24 blue and green runs from 1438m at the chalet to 2011m at the top. A wonderful selection of blazed trails awaits walkers of all abilities. Valberg has a nine hole golf course, a summer luge, a large uncrowded open air swimming pool, and an aerial activity trail through the trees and many more amenities. There is a fine selection of restaurants.
How to get there
The easiest way is by budget airline into Nice Airport. Easyjet, Air France and BA all compete fiercely so prices are always competitive. All the major car hire companies have a presence here. Our house is about one hour’s easy and beautiful drive north from the airport up the Vallee du Var (RN202) and the breathtaking Gorge du Cians (D28).

Further details outdoors: The chalet offers a choice of indoor or outdoor dining. The views from the balcony are superb and even in the ski season it is often warm and sunny enough for lunch and afternoon tea. The driveway makes an excellent boules pitch. The garden is south facing.

All beds have new quilts but no linen is provided. Remember to take bed linen and towels.
