"Home in Tuscany"
first, thanks to Sergio for looking after us all.
We had high hopes for this place, and we were not disapointed. It is spacious, clean, bright and has just about everything anyone could want - almost if it was our "own home". Comfortable beds, large bathrooms, vast dining room and 3 plus reception rooms (all with Tvs and wifi, and upstairs in the glass fronted reception room, an enourmous TV - perfect for sport (and a film no doubt).
Albeit we had a few rainy days, the terraces were a great place to sit and enjoy some private space along with views of the old town while the younger members played and splashed around the pool. The gardens surround the house and the cyress horseshoe drive adds to the Tuscan character of the place.
Getting around here is also easy, the train station is a 5 minute drive (for trains to Florence) and the many hill towns of Tuscany are esilly accessable - we especially liked Pienza and Cortona along with the antiques market of Arezzo.
A perfect place for our extended family holiday, and easy to recommend to anyone looking for a place that is cared for and beutifully maintained.

"Everyone was taken by the beautiful setting .... and the views!"
We were looking for somewhere special for our European trip. After visiting family in the UK, we wanted to explore the famous Tuscan countryside and to have a special family gathering to celebrate our 25 wedding anniversary and, John's 21 birthday.
We were taken by the views of the villa as well as the spacious accommodations it offered. I decided it would be the perfect venue for my extended family to visit. We were greeted warmly by Tizianna - who with not much English, was able to guide us around the property and offer us some guidance as to what to do in the area, shopping, restaurants and so on. ( We also had some helpful contact with her English friend before arriving, so we were well organised for our two week stay here.
Immediately everyone was taken by the beautiful setting, the surrounding hills, the absolutely stunning views. We wanted a place offering privacy and lots of space for the family - this certainly provided that. Besides the sprawling interiors, the outside gardens, volley ball court above the house, the marvellous pool were a real bonus for us.
The bedrooms were very comfortable, spacious bathrooms, lots of nooks and crannies around the house providing quiet spots and own space. The kitchen was, I thought, a little small for 12, but it proved more than adequate.
For our special day , we arranged for a local chef to come up and cook a celebration family dinner. This was quite possibly the best meal we had. Jonti is certainly an extraudanry chef and her tales of working on the high seas (luxury yachts) made it even more interesting when watching her prepare a lavish feast, from canapé to a yummy desert. A truly magical and memorable night with the most extraordinary setting.
The villa is quite high in the hills and therefore the views are amazing - whether looking from the bedrooms, the terraces or the pool, it never ceased to inspire us.
During our time here we managed to fit in quite a bit of touring. The local train whisked us to Florence for two separate day trips (make sure you have advance tickets for museums). The rest of the time, we used the cars to explore the hill towns - but particularly enjoyed the local town of Castiglion Fiorntino along with Pienza, Assisi, Arezzo and Montalcino.
