Apartment 203 Val Village is a ski in/ski out, comfortable and well equipped, self catered apartment ideal for small families with children in ski school. It is located within a stone's throw of the ski lifts and where the ski schools meet for lessons. The village centre with its many restaurants and shops is on your doorstep.
The apartment has an open plan kitchen/living area with TV/DVD, French style sofa bed which sleeps 2 singles, small oven, dishwasher. It has one double bedroom, a small bunk room (cabine), a bathroom with a bath, separate WC and good storage space. It also benefits from a covered parking space. There is a south facing balcony.
Located in the premier ski resort of Val d'Isere surrounded by a vast skiing area with slopes to suit all level of skiers. There are 300km of beginner to expert runs which make up the Espace Killy, the skiing area shared between Val d’Isère and Tignes. The excellent snow record and permanent slope grooming ensure ideal skiing conditions. Long queues are now a thing of the past thanks to the modern ski lifts and the hands free lift pass system. The town itself has numerous excellent restaurants, bars with live music, shops and supermarkets.
The brand new Oxygene Sports Centre, which opened last winter, provides an alternative to skiing. Facilities include a family swimming pool, training pool, spa, gym, squash courts and climbing frame.

Although the apartment is comfortable for 4 people it will sleep a maximum of 5 people making use of the French style sofa bed in the living room.

With this apartment we offer a free ski hosting day. Guests who have experienced these days will tell you that they love them! A sociable day which allows us to spend time with our guests and provides those who are new to the resort with an introduction to the vast Espace Killy ski area. We ski to the furthest point possible, the village of Tignes Les Brevieres, in time for lunch in the cosy, warm and traditional L'Armailly restaurant or, on a sunny spring day, sitting on the terrace.
There are usually two of us so we can split the group to accommodate different levels of skiers/boarders. This ensures everyone gets to ski within their ability and enjoy the day. We only ask that you are competent on a blue run.
We work 'out of office' hours. This ensures we are available to meet guests regardless of their arrival time and we are on-hand to help you at any time during your stay.
Within the price of the accommodation we include a bottle of wine, all bed linen and one set of towels (one hand and one bath towel) per guest. All beds are made up prior to arrival.
Conditions
We require a 25% deposit within 7 days of booking this apartment with the balance payable 6 weeks prior to the start of the holiday. We do make a 2% charge for credit card bookings.
We also require credit card details which we hold in case of breakages or damage to the apartment or its contents. Any additional cleaning required to the property above our normal cleaning service will be charged for. It is expensive to replace keys and towels in Val d’Isere so do bear in mind that we make a charge for lost keys from £15 to £45 per key and heavily soiled towels (make-up stains) at £10 per hand towel and £20 per bath towel.
This is a strictly no smoking apartment however you may smoke on the balcony.
The Rhone / French Alps / Savoie region
Val d'Isere is located at a height of 1,850m in the French Alps, within the Savoie department of the Rhone-Alpes region of France. It is the last village before you reach the Col d'Iseran, the highest mountain pass in Europe. Savoie is famous for its Tartiflette, a renowned dish of onions, lardons (bacon), potato and traditional Reblochon or Beaufort cheese. It is also famous for Genepy, a heady drink made from plant extract.
The Val d'Isere area
Val d'Isere is one of the world's finest ski resorts with ski lifts transporting skiers and boarders to some of the world's best piste and off-piste skiing. The highest peak in the Espace Killy is the Grande Motte at 3500 metres and the lowest at Tignes Les Brevieres at 1500 metres. The excellent snow record and skiing conditions ensure visitors of all ages and ability return year after year.
The town itself has remained charming, traditional and very pretty and has numerous excellent restaurants, lively bars with live music (ideal for apres ski - toffee vodka is a must!), smart shops, supermarkets and three night clubs. There is a market every Monday which sells local produce.
The ski bus service is free and efficient. It is available to skiers and non-skiers, and runs frequently, approximately every 5 minutes, throughout the day and into the night servicing the three main ski areas, the centre of Val, Le Fornet and La Daille.

FLYING
Both Geneva in Switzerland and Lyon St. Exupery in France are the main airports for Val d'Isère. Both have direct bus transfers to the resort and the journey takes approximately 3.5 hours. Chambery airport has a very limited direct bus transfer to the resort so do ensure that your flight connects with one of the few buses. Grenoble has no direct bus link to Val d'Isère.
BY TRAIN
It is possible to take the train to the resort and the nearest station is Bourg-St-Maurice which is a 40 minute transfer to Val d'Isere. There is a taxi service or the less expensive option is the bus service.
BY CAR
The car journey is approximately 2.5 hours from either Geneva or Lyon airport and we recommend Hertz or Avis. If you are driving from Calais the journey, depending on traffic and weather, is approximately 8-10 hours.
