The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur region
One of the most beautiful areas in France, Provence has a great deal to offer everyone. Picture postcard villages, irresistible foods, idyllic landscapes, spectacular cities with a wealth of history and a positive attitude to life in general.
With its Mediterranean climate, hot dry summers and crisp light even in the winter, there is no better place to visit. Provence is just wonderful!
The local town of Vaison-la-Romaine dates from Roman times over 2000 years ago. With its shady spots under plane trees, its busy streets, the terraces of its cafes & restaurants and of course its superb market every Tuesday morning with all the colours of the South of France, Vaison-la-Romaine has all the charm of a genuine Provencal town.
Local activities include canoeing, horse riding, cycling, rock climbing, walking, forest rope climbing and more...And for the less energetic how about strolling round the Provencal markets, coffee reading the papers on terrace shaded by plane trees, lunch al-fresco, wine tasting, sun bathing, reading, painting and more....
