About the home

Sunset Villa is a spacious, modern luxurious 5 bed villa. Fully furnished and marble throughout with air conditioning.

On the ground floor there is a large living area with TV/DVD, Internet Access, open plan kitchen (fully equipped), separate dining area, separate TV/cushion room, and shower room with WC.

Outside the Villa has its own private pool with a large surrounding terrace for soaking up the sun, and has a separate raised terrace for dining with an outside BBQ. It has lovely landscaped gardens with private parking.

First floor is accessed via an impressive marble stair case consisting of master bedroom with en suite and balcony with seating outside, and 2 large double bedrooms, both with balconies and a large modern family bathroom.

Second floor is accessed by continuation of the marble staircase consisting of a further 2 large bedrooms one with twin beds, and the other having a double bed plus a single bed.

Cots are also available for those with young children.

All linen and towels are provided including pool towels,
For a 2 week stay you will have a bed linen and towel change mid way but not a full clean. (full clean available on request - please enquire)

We can also arrange minibus hire/car hire for you. Also we can arrange any trips and excursions for you with return transfers from the villa (a small charge will be made for the transfers.)

Conditions

All guests must have adequate travel insurance.
A 25% deposit is required on booking, which is non refundable, the balance is due 8 weeks prior to the holiday.
A £150 breakage deposit is required when balance is due, to be refunded within 2 weeks of your departure
(subject to satisfactory property inspection ).
Minor breakages such as a glass or plate etc can be replaced locally, if you would leave a few lira to cover the cost that will be appreciated.
Smoking allowed outside only please.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The vibrant town & harbour of Fethiye is just 20 mins away from Uzumlu and can be easily reached by frequent dolmus or by car.

The popular resort of Olu Deniz known as the 'blue lagoon' has a fantastic beach & lagoon area which is within easy reach of a boat ride to Butterfly Valley giving you the opportunity to explore the Turquoise Coast. it is a short distance away from Fethiye, as is nearby Hisaronu with its great night-life, restaurants & bars.

Calis beach is just 5mins from Fethiye & is one of the popular places for entertainment; it can also be reached by water taxis from Fethiye Harbour.

Slightly further away are the ancient ruins and unspoilt 20km beach of Patara and also Salikent Gorge famous for Rafting. The hilltop Roman city of Cadianda is 20mins from the Villa Sunset.

Its also ideally situated just 40 minutes from the recently modernised Dalaman Airport.

The Uzumlu area

If you are looking for a tranquil, quiet, get away from it all type of holiday Sunset Villa is set in the village of Uzumlu, its, named after the grape vines, and is a typical Turkish village set against the backdrop of the beautiful Taurus mountains with exceptional views over the valley. The area is picturesque, and very traditional with plenty of historical sites to visit. The villa stands 500m above sea level and in summertime when the weather is hot, benefits from a gentle breeze.

Surrounded by mountains and pine forests, goats are still herded down the street and the women still sit weaving their traditional dastar cloth in the unspoilt traditional Turkish village.

The village is small and is 2km walk away from Sunset Villa. It has managed to retain all its natural charm and character and the locals are extremely friendly. You can find a few small shops, a post office, a wine bar, restaurants and a local market on Fridays. The village also has an internet cafe and wifi connection at some restaurants. Uzumlu is known for its fine grapes and the word "uzum" means grapes, so why not taste the local wine, eat some Turkish cuisine at some of the restaurants in Uzumlu or if you want a more informal environment why not try the local "Pide" pizza cafe. This relaxed village is ideal for those looking for a little peace and quiet, breathtaking scenery and the enchantment of rural life.

Uzumlu is a quiet rural area steeped in history and is ideal as a base for exploring the Turkish countryside and the surrounding area. If you are looking for the ultimate holiday this is the place for you!
