About the home

Villa Christine is a stunning villa set on the hillside outside the village of Uzumlu. It is located in a quiet part of Uzumlu and is approximately a 20 to 25 minute walk to the village centre. It has a private pool. large terrace area and a BBQ for dining al fresco.

The first thing you will see as you arrive at the Villa is the stunning scenery, the Villa is situated on a hillside over looking the plateau and surrounding mountains of Uzumlu.

Once you have walked down some steps from the car port and through the front door you will walk into a large hallway, to your right is a large lounge area with sofas and a log fire, patio doors lead onto a covered terrace and pool area. The lounge area leads onto the dining area and fully equipped fitted kitchen. To the left of the hallway is a separate sitting room with sofa and television (for DVDs only)

On the first floor you will find a large master bedroom with en-suite shower room and a balcony with views across the plateau. Two further bedrooms both doubles and a family shower room.

On the second floor there are two large bedrooms, one twin with private terrace and stunning views and one family room with a double bed, single bed and a cot. At the top of the stairs from the first to second floor there is also a safety gate!

All rooms are furnished with local handmade furniture and you cannot help but feel relaxed in this home from home.

Villa is fully air conditioned, all linen and towels are provided, but not beach towels please bring your own.

All furniture is hand made locally and every room has everything you could need in order for you just to unpack and relax.

Around the pool area you will find an outside shower, plenty of sunbeds and parasols plus a large dining table and chairs to enjoy dining al fresco.
Brick built BBQ and plenty of terrace area to sit and relax in peaceful surroundings and watch the stunning sunsets.
Villa is situated up an unmade road.

We can arrange airport transfers for you, either by car or minibus depending on number of people.
Transfers are arranged through our sister company Guide Tours who are a registered TURSAB member and are fully insured.
We can also provide some essentials for you for your arrival. A full shop can be undertaken for you - please enquire when booking.

All linen and towels are provided, but not beach towels please bring your own. For a 2 week stay you will have a bed linen and towel change mid way but not a full clean. A Full clean is available at an extra cost - please enquire when booking

If you do not fancy hiring a car and driving yourselves we can arrange a mini bus or car, with your own driver, to take you where ever you want to visit, no need to rush, just spend as much time as you want at the local beauty spots. We can also arrange minibus hire/car hire for you either for collection at the airport or delivered to the villa.

Also we can arrange any trips and excursions for you with return transfers from the villa (a small charge will be made for the transfers.) Trips and Excursions are provided through our sister company Guide Tours. These can be booked prior to arrival and you will receive discount on all trips. Book two or more and receive the Olu Deniz Boat trip half price! - A great day out. For details please just ask.

Conditions

All guests must have adequate travel insurance.
A 25% deposit is required on booking, which is non refundable, the balance is due 8 weeks prior to the holiday.
A £250 breakage deposit is required when balance is due, to be refunded within 2 weeks of your departure
( subject to satisfactory property inspection ).
Minor breakages such as a glass or plate etc can be replaced locally, if you would leave a few lira to cover the cost that will be appreciated.
Smoking allowed outside only please.
Please note villa is on a hillside outside of the village and access is currently by an unmade road.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The bustling town and harbour of Fethiye is 18 Kilometres away from Uzumlu and can be reached by regular dolmus or by car.

The world renown resort of Olu Deniz 'the blue lagoon' with its sheltered beach and lagoon which is ideal for children and swimmimg, is a short distance away from Fethiye, as is nearby Hisaronu with its lively nightlife, clubs, restaurants and bars

Calis beach is 5km from Fethiye and is one of the prominent regions of entertainment, it can also be reached by water taxis from Fethiye Harbour. The shoreline is 6km long and is significant for their nesting turtles.

Slightly further away are the ancient ruins and unspoilt 20km beach of Patara and also Salikent Gorge famous for Rafting. The hilltop Roman city of Cadianda is 20mins from the Villa

The Uzumlu area

The village of Uzumlu is one of spectacular natural beauty, set in a valley surrounded by dense pine forests and rugged hillsides. Villa Christine is situated in an elevated position, on the outskirts of the village surrounded by olive trees, with exceptional views over the valley, as Uzumlu is 500m above sea level the cool mountain breezes are more than welcome especially in the summer.

The traditional village of Uzumlu is approximately a 20 to 25 minute walk away, the village has managed to retain all the natural charm and character of a traditional Turkish village and yet still has the convenience of a modern town like Fethiye which is just twenty minutes drive away.

Uzumlu has shops in order to buy local produce, a post office, restaurants, a wine bar, and a local market on Fridays. This relaxed village is ideal for those looking for a little peace and quiet, breathtaking scenery and the enchantment of rural life.

Uzumlu is a quiet rural area steeped in history and is ideal as a base for exploring the turkish countryside and the surrounding area. Perfect for walking holidays.

Many of the shops and restaurants offer a free pick up serivce - ideal for a night out!

“What a fabulous place.” Fabulous villa, everything you could possibly ask for. The decor and furnishings were of a very high standard and we had a really nice time there. The village is a little walk but if the weather is not too hot it's no problem. The views and sunsets from the villa are truly spectacular. The couple managing the villa are excellent, very helpful with everything.

Villa Christine is fab – perfect for a couple of families. The villa is spacious, clean, well kitted out and in a lovely location. The pool is great and the shady terrace perfect for escaping the mid-day sun. Karen and Pete looked after us so well, helping out with taxi’s, trips, advice on where to eat and were very responsive to all our queries – it was nice to meet them and they made us feel very welcome.

We truely enjoyed our two week stay at villa Christine. The villa accomodated 11 of us comfortably and we relished in the peace and tranquility found there, it is really an away from it all location with not a tourist insight.
The village of Uzumlu is a real gem and gives you a taste of the real Turkey. The locals there could not do enough for you and I would recommend this location to anyone who is looking for a more traditional holiday away from the tourist traps.

We all really enjoyed our time at the villa Christine, we found everything just perfect.
The villa was clean comfortable and very relaxing, and so well equipped. We would certainly return, as the location was great and the village is so quaint, all the restaurants were superb with a lift home every night, what more could you want.
Had it not been for the unusual heat we would have walked more and gone to the Roman City, but there is always another time.
The transfers you organised for us on our days out were really good, and the drivers couldn't have been nicer.
Thank you both so much for your help, I would certainly recommend this location to any of my friends.
