About the home

Sample the real Turkey in our luxury detached villa, individually designed by a local architect using stone, wood and red roof tiles to blend with the natural surroundings. Rooms are spacious with floor to ceiling windows.

DOWNSTAIRS - The lounge has a light and airy ambience with an attractive brick fireplace. Large glass doors lead on to a terrace. This room is equipped with a TV, DVD, video and CD player.

The kitchen is fully fitted with handmade units complete with oven/hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and ample kitchen utensils. There is a separate utility room with washing machine.

The large dining room leads on from the kitchen. Glass doors open onto a patio.

Also downstairs is a twin bedroom with an adjacent bathroom. A marble staircase leads to the first floor.

UPSTAIRS- Large bright and airy bedroom with en-suite bathroom and balcony overlooking the pool. The other large bedroom has an adjacent bathroom. All furniture in these bedrooms has been handmade in solid pine by a local craftsman.

Villa Yasemin is not only a rental property. It is our second home and has been furnished to a high standard. Our villa is the perfect retreat. Surrounded by the Taurus mountains in a stunning location. Speak to a 'real' person - we will be only to happy to answer any questions you may have.

Smoking is not encouraged in the house but is permitted on the patio and in the garden.

Luxury full fitted kitchen with handmade units complete with oven/hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave toaster, kettle, and ample kitchen utensils.Leading from the kitchen there is a spacious dining room with large glass doors leading to the patio area. There are three good size bedrooms. The master bedroom is large, bright and airy and has a double bed with en-suite bathroom and large covered balcony overlooking the pool. The second bedroom has a double bed, its own bathroom and an adjacent balcony. The third bedroom is downstairs and is a twin bedroom with a separate bathroom. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and have excellent mountain views. There are 2 good Z-beds available if there are 8 in the party. There is a travel cot available.

The landscaped garden area includes sunny patios and covered terraces. There is a private swimming pool with accompanying tables, chairs and loungers. To the front of the villa there is a delightful courtyard with an attractive water feature, built-in barbecue and an organic herb/vegetable garden. The courtyard is surrounded by dry stone walling giving complete privacy.

Conditions

We will take provisional bookings for the dates that you request. Please note these dates will be held for 48 hours. A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required within 14 days. The outstanding amount must be paid 8 weeks before travelling. A refundable breakages deposit of £150 is required, to be refunded within 2 weeks of your departure.(subject to a satisfactory property inspection).

Rose time at Villa Yasemin

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

It is sometimes hard to believe that just 17 kilometres outside a resort like Fethiye you can still find tiny pockets of unspoilt Turkey. But it is here that you will find the sleepy rural village of Uzumlu and, on its outskirts, Villa Yasemin. There is a market in the village where you can buy fresh produce for home cooking. The nearest town is Fethiye ( 25 minutes away ) , which is a busy centre providing shops and services such as supermarkets and banks. It has a magnificent harbour, a wonderful promenade dotted with bars and restaurants and an interesting old town. Further along the coast is Oludeniz, an area designated as a National Park. It's beach sweeps along for 3 kilometres into a beautiful lagoon, perfect for a variety of water sports.

The Uzumlu area

The nearest beach is Calis 20 minutes drive from the villa. You can take a ferry along the canal from Calis to Fethiye. There is a pleasant promenade with bars and cafes where you can have a drink while watching the fantastic sunsets.

Boat trips run from Fethiye to the various islands off the coast and Rhodes is accessible by Hydrofoil. Sailing, paragliding, scuba diving and white water rafting are all available in the local area. Ancient ruins from the Lycian period can be seen at Cadianda, Patara, Tlos,Letoon, Xanthos and Sidyma or take a walk along the famous Lycian Way. Visit www.lycianway.com to obtain maps and books before departing UK. The beautiful rural countryside provides a unique habitat for birds and wildlife.

The livelier resort of Hisonarou and Ovacik can easily be reached by car or Dolmus (minibus) if you are looking for nightlife.

“A Wonderful Villa in a beautiful tranquil location, Perfect.” This was our first time in Turkey and it certainly won't be our last. If you want to get away from it all, in a location that offers, excellent accomodation, beautiful views,good food and very friendly locals, then Villa Yaesmin in Umzulu is the place to go. The bookling process was easy, and Shelia and Peter the owners were extremely helpful, great communication with plenty of tips and advice before we travelled. I felt that they offered a much more personnal service than you would get with a tour operator. The Villa has eveything you need, with lovely gardens and outdoor eating area, the pool is great and you may meet some of the local wild life, (you often met tortoise in the garden). Inside its very clean, and if there are any problems, Shelia and Peter have someone locally who can sort any problems out. Whilst we were there, one of the air conditioning units in the bedroom stopped working. As you can imagine, this is not great in the height of summer, but one quick phone call and by the end of the day it had been fixed. Umzulu is situated approx a 20 minuted drive from the larger harbour resort of Fethiye, we would recommend a car however the local Dolmas (buses) run very regularly from the village. The village is lovely and the villagers extremely friendly. Eating out is very reasonable, there were six of us, four adults and two teenagers and we were eating out, 2 -3 course with wines and drinks for approx £70-£80. Cadianada, Alya and Vintage were our favourite resturants.. The village has a couple of tavernas and small supermakets and a local market on a Friday morning, so most provisions can be brought locally. Villa Yaesmin is the perfect base to visit the Western coast of Turkey and I would recommend this to young and old alike, a true getaway, to slow down and remember what life should be about.

We have had a wonderful holiday. Villa Yasemin is a beautiful house and so peaceful (at least it is when our children are not there!). We made visits to Saklikent and rafting, Fethiye market, Tlos, Cadianda, Kayakoy ruins, the Aquapark at Ovacik, Oludeniz, a boat trip and lots of little beachs on the headland south of Fethiye. We have had some marvellous meals out and some great barbecues at the villa. There is so much to do and experience in this area. Thank you very much for your help over the booking.
