Woodlands Villa is a spacious four bedroomed villa in a beautiful mountain setting on the outskirts of the traditional village of Uzumlu. It is peaceful and luxurious, and has been carefully furnished to a high standard. With its shady terraces and large private pool, it is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
The stunning local scenery makes it a perfect spot for nature lovers, walkers, artists and photographers alike, and there is little reason to venture further afield. However, for those seeking a more active holiday, the main resort town of Fethiye with it's many facilities is only a short drive away.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
The Turquoise Coast is one of the most beautiful areas in the Mediterranean. There is something for everyone in the area - from peaceful mountain retreats to lively resort areas, and an astonishingly rich legacy of archeologic ruins and historic sites.
The beaches with their turquoise water, and a climate which offers non stop sunshine from May to September, will make you want to come back again and again.
Uzumlu area
Woodlands Villa is situated high in the mountains above the village of Uzumlu. The rural setting, the stunning views, and the cool mountain breezes make it a perfect base for those wishing to get away from it all.
In the traditional village of Uzumlu you will get a glimpse of the real Turkey. Here you can see cloth being woven by the ladies of the village, and enjoy a glass or two of locally produced wine at the village Wine House. This relaxed village is quiet and unspoilt and offers a true welcome to its visitors.
A short drive from Woodlands Villa is the ancient city of Cadianda. Cadianda is known as a rich Lycian settlement which is said to date back to the 5th Century BC. It is well worth a visit, not only for its historic interest, but also for the breathtaking views that can be enjoyed across the bay of Fethiye, the Taurus mountains, and the valley of Uzumlu itself.
Approximately 20 minutes drive away is the popular resort town of Fethiye with its many shops, restaurants and facilities. Daily and weekly markets selling a variety of local produce and goods are held in the town, and a wide range of tours and activities are available for the more adventurous.
There are many other places to visit in the area. These include the world famous resort of Olu Deniz with its beautiful white sand and turquoise lagoon, the historic rock tombs and mud baths of Dalyan and Caunos, and the natural wonder of Saklikent Gorge. How to get there
Fly to Dalaman which is approximately 50 minutes drive away from Woodlands Villa. There are flights to Dalaman from the UK by a number of charter companies including GB Airways, Thomas Cook, First Choice and Thomson. Car Hire, Taxi and bus services are all available from Dalaman Airport. Further details indoors: This large villa is light and spacious, and offers very comfortable accommodation. Three of the four bedrooms have their own private en-suite facilities, as well as terraces with mountain or forest views. The fourth bedroom on the ground floor overlooks the pool, and has the use of a separate downstairs shower room. Having only been completed in August 2006, it is in exceptional condition and has been furnished to a high standard.
Further details outdoors: Outside, the large private pool looks out across the mountains, and is surrounded by sunbathing areas with ample pool and dining furniture. The pool has entry steps at the shallow end, and goes to a depth of approximately 2m. Gardens surround the property, and lead directly to the forest area behind the villa. Secure parking is by way of a double garage beneath the villa

"It would be extremely difficult to find a more beautiful and peaceful location in which to spend two wonderful weeks enjoying sun, good food, wine and poolside relaxation. You awake some mornings to the sound of goat bells in the pasture outside your bedroom window.
