"Le Mas des Grands Chênes" is situated in the peace and tranquility of the stunning open countryside of the Languedoc area. Quiet and peaceful, yet just 7km from the beautiful village of Uzès, in the Pont du Gard region all amenties are a stone's throw away. The village of Uzès hosts a local market with fresh produce, and many excellent restaurants for eating out. The stunning coastal region of "La Grande Motte" lies no further than an hour away.
The farmhouse hosts its own private outdoor swimming pool, as well as a spacious private garden. The outdoor covered terrace, fully furnished with table and chairs permits barbecues and alfresco dining. "Le Mas des Grands Chênes" is ideal for families, with plenty to see and do in the surrounding area.

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Gard region
The rolling hills, the Mediterranean climate, cypress trees and olive trees of the Languedoc Rousillon region compose an area of Provence which remains traditional, untouched and unspoilt. The location of the farmhouse, nestled in the countryside pemits an escape to the peace and tranquility of traditional Provence as well as giving the opportunity to discover the culture in the many surrounding towns. This striking contrast of the Tuscan like countryside to the traditional Provencale townships offers the best of both worlds.
Within an hour's drive: Avignon - reknowned for its festival (30km), Nimes - whose amphitheatre is the best preserved in France (30km) Arles - boasts magnificent Roman architecture (50km), La Grande Motte - beautiful beach on the southern coast (1 hour) Cotes du Rhone wineroute (5km). Uzes / Arpaillargues area
Complementary to the peace and seclusion of the farmhouse, the lively surrounding area has much on offer. The beautiful town of Uzès boasts a striking contrast between tradition and history and the modern everyday life of a Provencale town. Uzes offers something for everyone, with its variety of art galleries, shops, restaurants and bars against the striking backdrop of the remaining Roman architecture. The Place aux Herbes, the magnificent Duchy and the twice weekly market, selling the freshest of local Provencale produce are hallmarks of this beautiful town. Furthermore the variety of summer festivals and entertainment are sure to cater for every taste. Other leisure activities within close proximity to the farmhouse include cycling, horse riding, fishing, mountain biking, rollerblading, swimming, tennis, walking, hiking, climbing and kayaking.

BY AIR: Ryanair flies from London Luton, Liverpool and East Midlands to Nimes (30km), and Montpellier (80km). Other airports include Nimes (30km), Avignon (37km), Montpellier (80km), Marseille (115km)
BY TRAIN: TGV from Paris/Lille to Avignon/Nimes connects to the Eurostar. In summertime, there are direct trains available from London to Avignon.
BY CAR: Autoroute du Soleil exit "Remoulins" Take exit number 23 and enter "Remoulins" Leave "Remoulins" following signs for Uzès At Uzès, take the direction of "Arpaillargues-et-Aureillac" then follow "Le Mas de la Chapelle" Enter Aubussargues
