The Ikat Room is one of two guestrooms on the upper floor of the recently restored guesthouse, located in the gardens of Miomundo, the original period house. The room, which has two single beds, is named after the Indonesian textiles and decorations. Ikat Room guests share a ground floor bathroom, with shower and toilet, with guests of the Teak Room.

Teak and Ikat Room guests also have use of a games room which includes table football, carrom and a variety of card and board games, and has WiFi access. Here also are tea and coffee making facilities, toaster and small fridge. The part of the shared garden has recreational and relaxation spaces and includes table tennis, seating, and eating areas. A natural pool and tropical vegetation add to the tranquility of this space.

The Ikat Room offers single and twin occupancy, suitable for those seeking rest and relaxation, and a base from which to explore the surrounding Languedoc-Rousillon area. Parties of four, including families, can have exclusive use of the guesthouse by booking both the Ikat and Teak rooms.

In the immediate vicinity of the property are a variety of restaurants, a 3-screen cinema, the tourist information centre, and Uzès market (Wednesday and Saturday). Despite its proximity to the town centre, the property benefits from peaceful surroundings.

Free on-street parking is available in the streets surrounding the property, and there is ample storage space for bicycles.

"Great Town, Accomodation and Super Host"

We were three friends travelling together. We stayed at Miomoundo for three weeks when our Aix en Provence accomodation fell thru. We were really lucky to get in to Miomundo. It was a little more regional than Aix, which makes a difference if you aren't driving, however that makes for a much more relaxed stay. Uzes is a great town. Full of history. We loved the food, markets (which are said to be one of the best and a lot of French visit the Uzes Markets), the town and the region. Bernard's place is very centrally located to the town, but has the advantage of being nice and quiet. In summer the local tourism office, which is just around the corner, runs a series of events for visitors. Check these out. We took buses to Pont du Gard, adjacent villages, Avignon, Nimes. (I would recommend using Nimes rather than Avignon for bus transfers when possible - Nimes bus station is MUCH nicer.) Uzes is even better located if you are driving. I can't say strongly enough how helpful and considerate are hosts, Bernard and Pan were. They have a long business and travelling history with Bali hence the Bali garden. At first we thought that we would prefer something more "French", but that was all at our door anyway as the location is very good, being at the edge of the old part of the city. And it is a lovely oasis as Uzes get busy in the summer. Would definitely recommend to friends.

hello, Diana, Claudia and Françoise. It was a pleasure for us to have you at home. I felt that during your 3 weeks of stay you found and appreciate the treasure of the real french "patrimone" and way of life, a little bit away from formal tourist tour. Hope you had a good return to home land and to see you again. bernard
