Ard-Aulinn offers a unique Irish holiday experience. Ard-Aulinn is a privately owned getaway retreat, offering luxurious accommodations with all the amenities of a 5 star hotel while being fundamentally a self catering facility.
Rarely in Ireland one finds an opportunity to stay in such luxurious, modern state of the art accommodation.
Ard means height or peak, Aulinn (or Alainn) means beautiful. The name suits the superbly equipped 5 bedroom, 7000 square foot (700m) house. No expense has been spared creating this, spacious, well appointed, contemporary accommodation.
We have a full range of satellite Channels available, DVD players and full Wi-Fi throughout.
The modern open plan kitchen/dining and living area is fully equipped with essential utensils.
In The Rumpus Room, you will find yourself in a Traditional Irish Pub without leaving the house. We have authentic Genuine Draft Guinness and a fully stocked bar from your personal use.

The County Derry region
Positioned in Mid Ulster we are 25 minute drive from Royal Portrush, voted as one of the top 10 golf courses in the world, nearby there are many other challenging courses such as Castlerock and Portstewart and we are just a 1.5 hr drive from Royal County Down, arguably the best Links course in the world.
Located at the foot of the Sperrin Mountains which offers great hiking and mountain biking trails, you could enjoy the angling on the Lower Bann or Lough Neagh without doubt, Northern Ireland’s best game fishing. Finally a 20 min drive will bring you to the World Famous Giant’s Causeway with the Antrim coastline offering one of the most scenic drives in the world.

A 200m walk down the quite country road you will find Ardtara Country House Hotel. This is a fabulous 19th Century home converted into a world class hotel. Their restaurant has received many awards including top including Fodor??s Choice in 2004. They offer full Irish breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bookings are necessary to avoid disappointment.
After a long leisurely lunch take a stroll down the quite country roads, visit the local village. Upperlands whose claim to fame is Clarks Linen mill which from early 19th Century exported high quality Irish linen worldwide. Visit the local linen museum or take one of the well mapped country hikes, or bike rides.
Above all this is Golf country, situated just 30 minutes from Royal Portrush http://www.royalportushgolfclub.com/ which is ranked among the Top 10 courses in the world. Other challenging courses in the local area are Portstewart and Castlerock. If you don't mind a costal drive the Royal County Down http://www.royalcountydown.org/ is a 1.5 hr journey.
Maybe Angling is your passion, Ard-Aulinn is situated beside the river Bann which flows into Lough Neagh just a few miles away. The Bann offers challenging game and course fishing. The river is fully stocked with salmon, trout and pike and provides some of Northern Ireland best fishing, attracting professional Anglers from all over the world.
Clay pigeon shooting is a popular pastime in the local area with many clubs and regular competition. In Ard-Aulinn we have a police certified Gun cabinet which can securely hold 5 double barrelled shot guns. Additionally we have secure dog kennels should you bring your canine companions.
Maybe you prefer a leisurely costal drive. The north Antrim coast is a pleasant 30 minute drive, which provides some spectacular scenery of wild cliffs, ruined castles and off course the world famous Giants Causeway. You may want to stop off at Bushmills Distillery for a wee whiskey on the way. Bushmills is the oldest licensed distillery in the Ireland and offers many rare selections and opportunities to taste this fine Irish nectar during the frequent tours. http://www.discovernorthernireland.com/
If Shopping is your thing, Belfast and Derry city are both a 45min drive ( in opposite directions) offering vibrant city life with a full selection of UK high street retailers. Maybe take one of the many tours of Belfast to explore our not so quiet history. We assure you it is very safe these days.

Further details indoors: The House is a newly built spacious 5 bedroom, 7 bathroom, modern residence. 3 of the bedrooms are equivalent to 5 star hotel suites, offering large king size beds, dressing area and large en suite bathroom facilities and 2 spacious bedrooms share a bathroom. Each room has a full range of satellite Channels available on the wall mounted 32?? flat screen TV??s, with a DVD player in each room. We offer a comprehensive DVD library of recent movies. Each room is finished to the highest standard of workmanship. And furnished with large king-size beds in walnut and oak, with finest quality cotton bed linens and goose down bed covers.
The house also offers a spacious family room. A Burmese teak, wood panelled study, perfect for enjoying a cigar and brandy after a tough day on the golf course, or maybe just to unwind with a good book.
We also have high speed wireless broadband throughout the entire house.
The modern, open plan kitchen/dining and living area, has a professional gas Cooker with dual ovens, a large walk in traditional style larder or pantry, 3 large fridge freezers, wine cooler and coffee making machines and all the mod cons you can dream of. The kitchen is fully equipped with essential utensils. While you are preparing meals for your guests plug your Ipod into the wall mounted docking station or use the digital radio to enjoy your music throughout the dining and living area. The solid teak dining table seats 12 comfortably. If you enjoy entertaining then Ard-Aulinn is the place for you. After dinner you may want to retire to the fully functional 90M or 900 square feet bar, affectionately known as the The Rumpus Room. The Bar comfortably holds 70-80 people and is fitted with 2, 34?? TV??s with a full array of satellite channels. Plug your Ipod into the docking station and play your own tunes on an independent state of the art Bose sound system which also hooks up with the outdoor speakers for those late evening drinks on the patios. We have a professional Pool table and beer on tap, genuine draft Guinness and Carlsberg, (although we can't sell alcohol as we don??t have a license but we can ask the local pub to prepare for your private consumption). The Rumpus Room opens up onto a large granite patio, perfect for BBQing in better weather. Large gas grill BBQ and patio heaters provided also.
We can guarantee you, no other self catering accommodation in Ireland can offer Genuine Draft Guinness on Tap for your private consumption.
