Large kitchen and dining area for five. Full size Fridge and seperate freezer, washing machine tumble dryer and dishwasher, oak kitchen units, full size electric cooker with grill and seperate fan assisted oven

Bathroom; full white suite and shower over bath, heated towel rail, shaver point.

Double bedroom, wardrobe,draws, digital TV and DVD player, wc and wash basin. Picture window overlooking large garden and surrounding view.

Second bedroom sleeps three in double bed and single bed. All rooms have digital freeview TV and DVD player, ample storage.

Large private garden and patio, table, chairs and parasol with covered seating area.

Our Location And Directions

Moorcourt Holiday Cottages are located in beautiful rural countryside within touching distance of the gorgeous Peak District National Park, and is within 20 minutes of Alton Towers and just 5 minutes away from the local village.

Directions

From M1 Motorway

Leave the M1 Motorway at Junction 24 and join the A50 to Stoke-on-Trent. After approximately 23 miles on the A50 you will encounter the first roundabout to Uttoxeter, proceed on the A50 to the second roundabout (Little Chef on the roundabout) Stay on the A50 for a further 0.4 miles and take the left turn onto the A522 signposted to Uttoxeter, Upper Tean and Cheadle.

Follow the A522 through Fole / Checkley after the sign for the Red Lion pub on your left. Turn onto Leigh Lane (If you pass the Dog and Partridge pub you have missed us, turn around and take 1st right onto Leigh Lane). Proceed over stone hump backed bridge, round several bends up incline, under dual carriageway. Proceed straight ahead (do not take turn for Church Leigh) you will come to sharp left hand turn with a right hand turn follow this narrow lane we are straight ahead at the bottom.
Traveling North M6 junction 15

From M6 Motorway

FROM THE NORTH
Leave the M6 at Junction 16 and join the A500 and join the A50 signposted to Uttoxeter and Derby.

FROM THE SOUTH
Leave the Motorway at Junction 15 and join the A500 to Stoke-on-Trent. After approximately 1.4 miles leave the A500 and join the A50 signposted to Uttoxeter and Derby

Stay on the A50 for 5.8 miles until you reach a roundabout. Take the first exit sign posted Blythe Bridge, Upper Tean and Cheadle. Stay on this road (you will pass through Draycott) You will pass through Tean highstreet. Follow road around sharp right hand bend. Take the first right hand turn after the Dog and Partridge pub into Leigh Lane. Follow land over hump backed bridge around bends up incline, under dual carriageway. Carry on until sharp left hand bend with right hand turn. Follow narrow lane to bottom we are facing you. Drive into courtyard. Park outside your cottage.

“Fantastic Cottage home from home” We stayed at the cottage for 3 nights whilst visiting alton towers which is only a 20 minute drive away. The cottage was really clean and had everything you need for your stay. The private garden was fantastic. There are so many things to do in the area so we will definitely be returning in the future.

Terms And Conditions

Your holiday may be reserved by telephone, letter or email. Your chosen date will then be pending receipt of your your deposit for each cottage reserved which will be £100 for a full week, or £50 for a short break.

Please make all cheques out to Mrs Vanessa Bradshaw, and send to Moorcourt House, Leigh Lane, Upper Leigh, Stoke On Trent, ST10 4NU

Your final balance will be due in 4 weeks before your arrival date.

All payments will be acknowledged by a receipt.

Any money still owing must be paid on arrival or before day of departure.

Keys will be handed to you on your arrival or arrangements of where to collect from on site

Normal arrival time is from 3.30pm and departure time is 10.am prompt. Housekeeping begins at 10.30am. Early arrivals and later leaving times must be arranged at the time of booking at a charge of £10 per hour

The cottages are no smoking and no pets.

Central heating and bed Linen and towels are all inclusive.

The number of guests occupying the cottage must not exceed the maximum occupancy stated for that cottage. All names of guest staying must be stated when booking is made.

Please make us aware of all breakages before leaving a small donation will be expected.

You may request any extra items that you would like to be available on your arrival ie; travel cot high chair, champagne flutes, ice bucket
