Holly Barn is the obvious choice if you are a couple looking to escape from city life to a more tranquil and peaceful setting. Set in the heart of Devon's glorious wooded countryside on the fringes of the pretty village of Umberleigh on the River Taw; exhilarating walks, cosy traditional pubs and charming Devon villages are all within easy reach.

Positioned next door to the owner's house and completely self contained, Holly Barn is a perfectly formed lofty barn conversion oozing country-chic style with oak floors, pine dresser and exposed beams. The living space is overlooked by a romantic mezzanine bedroom, with a double bed dressed in crisp white bed linen, fluffy towels, bathrobes and slippers all provided for your stay. A separate fully fitted kitchen and modern shower room are located on the ground floor. Guests also have full use of a large bright and airy conservatory with separate access, and within the grounds there are 2 acres of space to roam and explore. A private seating area just outside the barn serves as a blissful spot to enjoy an alfresco meal or sit and read with nothing to disturb you but birdsong.

The Devon village of Umberleigh is 10 miles from the North Devon coast and set in the beautiful Taw Valley, the area often referred to as ''Tarka Country'' is ideally placed for exploring North Devon. The historic town of Barnstaple just fifteen minutes drive and the beautiful vast sandy beaches of Woolacombe, Westward Ho!, Saunton and Croyde all within easy reach. Close by, the market town of South Molton known as the gateway to Exmoor, hosts a popular twice weekly market offering a vast selection of local produce. If you prefer to leave the car behind, the village has its own train station with services North to Barnstaple and South to Exeter where you can browse the boutiques and restaurants of this historic city

The village pub is roughly 30 minute walk and there is private parking for one car just outside the barn.
