Welcome to our luxury self-catering holiday lodge, located at Hillcroft Park a small, friendly site just a ten minute walk from the village of Pooley Bridge and Ullswater.
Pooley Bridge lies at the northern end of Ullswater in England's largest national park, the Lake District. The Cumbria/Lake District
The Lake District is England's largest national park and contains the highest peaks and largest lakes in the land. Ullswater is the most easily accessible and is often said to be the most beautiful with Helvellyn as the backdrop.
Cool, Clear lakes, tarns and rivers, ancient woodlands, a diverse landscape and a wealth of wildlife. There are many opportunities to enjoy the outdoor activities or savour the peace and tranquility.
Pooley Bridge is a small village positioned at the northern most end of Ullswater, which coincidentally is the most easiest accessible point of the English lakes and yet at the same time is a refuge of tranquility.
From the village, you can walk, cycle or even boat to many of the beautiful vistas surrounding the lake, Howton, Place Fell, Glenridding, Patterdale, Aira Force to mention just a few. Beyond that are the possibilities to hike Helvellyn and the surrounding peaks, or why not visit the Rheged Centre a fascinating place to learn more about the area while the kids play and learn too. There are numerous establishments to enjoy the local hospitality and cullinary delights that never fail to disappoint. We look forward to hearing from you.

"First Class Lodge - What a view"
We were lucky enough to get a last minute booking as we wanted to attend a model seaplane event at short notice on Ullswater Lake, we have stayed here last year so knew that we were booking into a first class accommodation overlooking the lake. What with all the poor weather recently we were extremely lucky to arrive on a Friday evening just in time to catch the sun setting whilst sitting on the wooden veranda with a glass in hand and friends. The lodge is located on a tourist park that is very well tended and must be situated on one of the best spots with views of the lake and surrounding hills. All I can say is that if you choose to stay here then you will not be disappointed as it offers a very comfortable standard and an excellent base from which to explore the surrounding area. If you like to sleep with the windows open then you will be greeted in the morning by singing birds and the occasional woodpecker. A recent introduction is the availability of free wi-fi for those that want to keep in touch with the outside world. We will return.

The lodge was clean, warm & well furnished. It was well situated on a lovely plot in a peaceful holiday park. The owner of this lodge was very helpful & if my husband, myself and two boys visit the lakes again we would definately stay in Westway.
