Lake Ullswater is the Lake Districts second largest lake. There are many activities on and around the lake - fishing, sailing, Ullswater Steamers, bike hire. Plenty of walks from your doorstep ranging from gentle walks to all day treks up Helvelyn and High Street Mountain range.
How to get there
From junction 40 (Penrith) on the M6 motorway take the 4th exit if travelling from the south, or the 2ND exit if travelling from the North, onto the A66 (eastbound) which is a short stretch of dual carriageway.
After 1 mile there is a roundabout, take the 4th exit (A6) signposted Eamont Bridge. Follow the road through the village and turn right onto B5320 signposted Pooley Bridge / Ullswater.
