The Ullswater / Pooley Bridge area
Pooley Bridge sits at the top end of Ullswater and provides easy access to the northern lakes which include Derwent Water and Bassenthwaite Lake.
The village itself boasts a great selection of pubs and direct access to the pleasure steamers, allowing visitors the opportunity to get out on the water, explore the surrounding area and experience a ride on these fantastic boats.
The southern lakes, which includes the ever popular Windermere, can be reached within 30 minutes by car via the stunning Kirkstone pass - which climbs to nearly 1,500 ft and provides fantastic views.

Located only 5 miles from Junction 40 of the M6 Motorway (Penrith), the lodge is located a short walk from the centre of the picturesque village of Pooley Bridge.
A variety of local services provide access into Pooley Bridge and can also be used to explore the wider area. Local connections to Penrith and Keswick can be caught from outside the Crown Pub in the centre of the Village.
The nearest train station is Penrith, from which the local bus services can easily be used to travel into the village.

Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Accommodation was first class. The on site staff were extremely helpful and the area surrounding the. Lodge was well kept and very tidy.
It was well situated for access to the local area and the local amenities. Will definitely go back if holidaying in the area again.
