About the home
Perched on the western ridge of the Wos River valley in the village of Payogan, Villa Naga is a spacious modern villa with traditional thatch roofs and warm wood interiors. The 20 meter lap pool has an extensive wooden deck for sunbathing or yoga, while the garden terrace below is perfect for Tai Chi. Instructors are available. In the hands of our very capable Nyoman, the fully-equipped kitchen produces hearty feasts of Balinese, Indonesian, Indian, Mediterranean, Italian and Japanese cuisine, as well as amazing BBQs. Nyoman also bakes fresh wholewheat bread.
The house has been written up in many architectural magazines and comes with an extensive library of books, music and DVDs. Every room has an iPod docking station.
The cheerful staff are great hosts for dinner parties, whether in the dining room, open air pavilion overlooking the valley, or the sunset roof-deck above the kitchen and services building. Wayan, our bartender, has a few signature cocktails and mocktails that have been very popular with guests.
We have many return guests who like to think of Villa Naga as their home away from home. Pleasant walkways connect Payogan to the center of Ubud (a 5-minute drive on the road, or a 30-minute walk through the Bangkiang Sidem ricefields, hills and river-valleys). The areas of Keliki and Sebali further north have quiet tar-sealed country roads ideal for exploring on bicycle.
The amenities of Ubud, such as restaurants, tennis courts, shopping centers, etc are nearby. Hairdressers, masseurs and yoga or tai chi instructors are available on call to come to the villa.
Whether you have come to Ubud to write your novel, rest with your family, or play host to passing friends, the team at Villa Naga will gladly help you feel at home.

The weather was perfect the service amazing and the food was delicious the daily walks through the surrounding rice paddies was a highlight of the stay Response: Thank you for your vote of confidence in our holiday rental property. The month of August is indeed the best time to be in Bali, when the skies are clear of clouds and rain and the wind blows as a gentle cooling breeze. It's coming into December now, there are many more clouds in the sky. Tropical rains are warm and tend to bucket down so fast they are over before you can say "Supercalifragilisticespialidocious" :-) Rain or shine, we are always looking forward to hosting you and your friends. |
