Bwthyn Bach is a fantastic base for exploring the attractions of North Wales.

The North Wales / Snowdonia/Gwynedd region
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. Snowdonia National Park, situated in North Wales, boasts breathtaking mountain scenery, crystal clear lakes and cascading waterfalls. Climb Snowdon, which at 1085m is Wales’ highest mountain, or travel to the summit in style on the charming Mountain Railway. Alternatively, why not sample the beautiful green valley of Llangollen by steam train or from a leisurely horse-drawn canal boat.
In July, the annual Llangollen Eisteddfod transforms the town into a unique centre of international music and dance, attracting musicians and singers from across the globe.You could also explore the beautiful coastline, safe sandy beaches and watersports of the Lleyn Peninsula, as well as Colwyn Bay, historic Conwy, Victorian Llandudno or the Isle of Anglesey on the north coast.
To the south, there’s the lovely Brecon Beacons National Park, a haven of rugged moorland, forests and mountains that’s just perfect for nature lovers and walkers. Finally, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is renowned for its wildlife, stunning coastal scenery, superb beaches and as the home of Britain’s smallest city, the City of St David’s.
The Tywyn / Bryncrug area
The picturesque Dysynni Valley, at the southern end of the Snowdonia National Park, is home to the small village of Bryncrug. The village has its own shop and pub, and is situated only six miles from the pretty harbour village of Aberdovey, well-known for its temperate climate, sandy beaches, sailing and championship 18-hole links golf course. The “artist’s paradise” of Aberdovey is aptly named due to its pastel coloured cottages, inns, superb restaurants that specialise in delicious local seafood, and little shops. Four miles of the best golden sand dune-backed shoreline in Britain runs north to Tywyn, a fine Victorian seaside town which boasts a promenade, putting green, leisure centre, and various eateries. The Cader Idris and Aran Fawddwy mountain ranges are all close by, as are the charming Dovey and Dysynni valleys nearby. If you love walking, climbing and wildlife watching, this area is for you.

,The friendly approach of the manager and information given; the pint of milk thoughtfully left in the fridge so we could immedately enjoy a drink of tea/coffee on arrival (which was later than first planned); the views from the property; and the use of the small swimming pool on site - it was a lovely relaxed holiday in a beautiful part of Wales.

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee per week or short break.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.
Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
