Further details indoors

The Pad is small but full of character, cosy, and great for one or two people. It's well equipped and a stunning view into the mountains, and into our beautiful and peaceful valley. Ideal for grandparents with a young family staying in the larger cottage, which is close but out of earshot!

Further details outdoors

There is a tree house in the garden and there is plenty of space in the barn to store bikes. etc, and to hang wet clothes to blow dry. We are so close to the sea that we have a very mild and pleasant mini-climate. The gardens are extensive, with wild and planted areas over about .75 acres, so there's always a quiet spot away from anyone else.

About this location

The Gwynedd region

North Wales is a relaxing rural area, characterised by valleys and mountains. Southern Snowdonia

is perfect for walking and hiking holidays while enjoying the beautiful scenery. The coastline is also stunning with sandy beaches and boat trips in Cardigan Bay. As we are so close to the sea we tend to have very good weather compared with ares further north. Caernarvon and Harlech castles are well worth a visit, and you can enjoy scrambling around the ruined Castell y Bere in our valley.

This is the place for a really peaceful and relaxing holiday! We live in a small village in the Snowdonia National Park, at the seaward end of the beautiful Dysynni Valley, with spectacular views of Cader Idris and Bird Rock.

Around the village you will find a ruined castle, woods, waterfalls, sandy beaches, rock pools, sea and river fishing, and lovely walks, ranging from easy strolls to more challenging expeditions, Aberdovey offers an excellent golf course for enthusiasts and sea trips and fishing. Tywyn is a small town with a cinema, leisure centre with fitness suite, and pool, and the famous Talyllyn Narrow Gauge Railway. Lots to see and do! The Centre for Alternative Technology is fascinating, also the Museum of Modern Art, both near Machynlleth.
