About the home
Rola was originally a farmhouse, built of local stone and slate. It was extended to the north in the 1980's. Today, after significant renovation it provides a very comfortable four bedroom house.
From the comfort of the lounge you can see north and west, along the beaches of the North Wales coast, to Snowdon in the distance.It is furnished tastefully in a country style and decorated with complimentary tones.
In a bay frequented by dolphins, porpoises and seals, watch in the air for buzzards, red kites, peregrine falcons and a multitude of sea birds.
Two further properties form the group known as Rola Cottages.

It’s main entrance leads into the dining hall with multi fuel burner in an inglenook fireplace. The lounge has a feature electric fire, TV with CD/DVD home theatre system and a patio door to the garden.We provide a small amount of games, books and DVDs in the bookcase in the lounge.
Off the dining hall is the kitchen with breakfast area.The kitchen is fully fitted with pine units and breakfast table and chairs for four

There is also a cloakroom and laundry room with the oil fired central heating boiler, a fridge freezer and washer/dryer.
Upstairs, one bedroom has a king-sized sleigh bed with cotton linen and goose feather duvet and pillows with en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has an antique double bed with cotton linen and goose feather duvet and pillows. The twin bedroom can be prepared with a zip and link mattress to a superking sized bed. There is also a single bedroom. All bedrooms have sea views. The bathroom has a shower fitting over ther bath.
Conditions
All properties are non-smoking.
All properties are available to let throughout the year and can be hired as a block, to accommodate a total of 15 or more persons. Perfect for large family gatherings or parties. Phone for details.
All rates include heating and electric together with bed linen.
Towels are not included.
A pair of cotton bath and hand towels can be provided if required at a charge of £3.50 per pair.
A travel cot can be provided at no extra charge if requested at booking.
Letting hours are from 3.00 pm on the day of arrival until 10.00 am on the day of departure, except for short breaks which may be altered by prior arrangement.
Pets are welcomed on the condition that they are not allowed on the furniture and are never left in the property unattended. A charge of £25 per booking is required for pets.

The Gulf Stream bathes this coastline in warm air and though the high mountains may be shrouded in mist, from the advantage of Rola cottages where the mountain rise hasn’t had chance to cool the air to cloud, the view is splendid.
The atmospheric Castell y Bere, a ruined castle sitting atop a rocky outcrop in the Dysinni valley is nearby. A mediaeval church at Llangelynin and prehistoric settlements with standing stones above Llwyngwril define the history of the area.
The Tywyn / Llwyngwril area
Llwyngwyril village one mile away, has a shingle beach, church, pub, railway stop, post office, grocery store, coffee shop and art gallery.
Fairbourne has a sandy beach, dunes, shops and pubs
A ten minute drive to Tywyn brings supermarkets, banks, shops, pubs, promenade, cinema,leisure centre doctor, and fuel.

Rola Cottages are situated on the west coast of Wales, approximately midway between Dolgellau to the north and Tywyn to the south, OS grid reference SH 576 081.
The nearest international airports are Birmingham and Liverpool, about 2 & 1/2 hours drive away.
When driving from the north along the A493 from Dolgellau, you will pass by Fairbourne then through the village of Llwyngwril, the nearest village to Rola.
From Llwyngwril, carry on south along the A493 coast road, past the Sunbeach Holiday Park to your right. The road rises slowly and the coast comes closer till, within a half mile from the holiday park you see a yellow sign on the right…..ROLA.

Without doubt, this is one of the nicest properties I have ever stayed at. The location was superb, with breath-taking views from every room, & the amenities could not be faulted. The kitchen was fully equipped, and both the dining-room & lounge were comfortable, with plenty of seats for our party of seven (and occasional visitors). Our sleep was enhanced by very comfortable beds, and three bathrooms meant no long queues in the morning. |

After battling snow and temperatures of -19 degrees we had a wonderful week in this beautiful cottage with direct access to the beach. It was suitable for all from a 11 month old to a 50 year old - and a Jack Russell! No faults found - a positive winter wonderland and we look foward to visiting again. |

Please note the price shown is for the rent of the house with four people only. Please add £30 per week for each additional person up to a total of seven ( excluding babies) to be accommodated.
Three night breaks are available at 65% of the weekly rate and four night breaks at 75%. Weekend breaks start on Fridays or Saturday and end on Monday or Tuesday depending on the length of stay. All midweek breaks end on Friday.
