Northland has the best beaches in NZ. We are only 2.5 hours from Auckland and have the longest and driest summers ( generally) .We have gorgeous native forests where you can see ancient kauri trees. Then clear blue waters of the ocean or secluded bays. Fishing is a dream up here.
The Tutukaka area
Tutukaka is gate way to the Poor Knight Islands. Voted no 2 in the world by National Geographic, it is a marine reserve of immense beauty.
And just 5 minutes further along the coast from us are New Zealnd's whitest beaches. You can swim, surf, stand up paddle board, fish or just sun bath.
The marina offers cafes and restaurants.

This is a great little find and I'm reluctant to let too many people in on the secret. You stay in a self contained room above the garage....beautiful large bed, ensuite, tv, fridge, coffee etc.... more Response: Thank you, we are thrilled you enjoyed our place on the coast. Next time the out door bath tubs will be another option and we will 'order up' the dolphins to frolic in the bay below ! |

This beautiful property, far from noise or disturbances, provides luxurious private accommodation in the form of a private wing with large double bedroom, dressing room (with fridge, tea/coffee making facilities), en-suite bathroom, and balcony with sea views across to Poor Knights islands. The bed has to be the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and the peacefulness of the location makes for a wonderful night's sleep. The copious breakfast is served in the kitchen overlooking the garden/pool, and late afternoon canapés and drinks by the pool! The care and attention put in to this accommodation is, in our opinion, the most outstanding that we experienced in New Zealand and you could not wish for more. Susy and Brett are wonderful hosts and we wish that we could have stayed much, much longer! Response: Thank you. We are thrilled to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. |
