About the home

Lale is located at the exclusive quiet, sought after end of Turunc, at the base of the mountainside dripping with the beautiful flora and fauna of the area yet only a pleasant 10-15 minute walk away from the beach, shops, village bars, restaurants, bus station, boat trips; water taxi (to Marmaris in season) and all the other central attractions and transportation facilities this small town has to offer.

The apartment in this traditional village is away from the commercial areas (deemed uneconomic for the large tour operators to service), and is an ideal escape yet ideally suited for the many boat trips around the famed turquoise coast and the peninsulas of Bozburun and Datca. If you desire to vist the commercial centres of Marmaris and Icmeler (15-20km) the local Dolmus (bus) runs hourly but the only way to travel in the Summer is via the hourly Water taxi which runs throughout the day and night.

The accommodation offers a 2 bedroomed spacious family apartment which can comfortably cater for a family group of 4 and can hold dinner parties for groups of up to 6.

The large kitchen is fully fitted and equipped including, dishwasher, electric and gas cooking facilities, fridge freezer, microwave and a water chiller dispenser.

The spacious hallway leads to an open plan dining lounge with the facility to seat 6 people and has both air-conditioning for keeping cool during the day and an open fire hearth for the cool evenings. The lounge area has a TV, DVD, comfortable relaxing facilities and leads directly to the large balcony overlooking the gardens, the town of Turunc and the stunning mountain scenery.

Both bedrooms have air-conditioning. The main bedroom has a double bed and the other 2 single beds, 2 extra guests could be accommodated via a comfortable double airbed which is inflated using an electrically powered pump.

The bathroom has a marble topped vanity unit, integral enclosed shower and Jacuzzi bath.

The pool and gardens whilst being private is shared with other members of the apartment block (only 7 dwellings in total).

The pool is available for use during the period from May to October.

An English speaking agent is on hand (for 24 hours) to address all your concerns and help ensure your holiday experience is all you dreamt off, he will also help to arrange the many trips and experiences to make your stay memorable.

Conditions

A discount of 5 % for bookings of 14 consecutive days or more and 10% for 21days or more will apply.

We require a non-refundable deposit of £10.00 per day for each booked day to be paid at the time of booking, this will then confirm your holiday dates in our holiday booking register.

A £100.00 refundable deposit is also required to cover the unlikely event of significant damage or breakages that may occur, this will be promptly returned following a satisfactory post holiday inspection by our agent, if the damage exceeds this amount then you will be charged the extra cost.

Payment can be by cash, cheque (to "QA Properties2") or bank transfer. Credit/debit card and PayPal can be paid via our website all payments to be cleared four weeks prior to departure or we reserve the right to take other bookings for the period.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Turunc is a beautiful place that is surrounded by mountains on 3 sides and is where the turquoise blue Aegean sea meets the Mediterranean. The water is generally warm and sunny from the end of March to the end of November, the beach is a mix of sand and shingle leading into the clear blue water.

If you looking for culture, the the area is rich in ancient history from the time of the ancient Greeks and Romans. One popular tourist destination is Ephasus, the ancient city that was visited by St Paul.

In addition, there are many boat trips that set out from the Turunc harbour to the Turtle beach and the mud baths of Dalyan where you will also see the Lycian King Tombs, we can also arrange low cost private all day private boat trips (incl. BBQ) to the many historic hidden coves and beaches around the coastline.

The Turunc area

Turunc is a very friendly village occupied by both local Turkish inhabitants and some English ex pats (English is commonly spoken) it is a small resort closely situated at the end of a no though road from Icemeler and Marmaris, accessible via the regular Dolmus (Bus) or Taxi or by the low cost co-operative water taxi service (during summer months).

It is situated in a small bay, surrounded by rising mountains whose pine-clad slopes meet the calm waters of the Aegean. The season runs from late April through to October, with many of the services being provided by local and transient traders. It is a charming, tranquil place - loved by many tourists who return each year (to this secret paradise) - and envied by those who are staying in larger nearby resorts!

Turunc has many bars and restaurants offering a selection of Turkish and non-Turkish cuisine and an active if subdued night scene.

There are flights available to Dalaman (the closest airport) from a variety of UK airports. Flights can be booked through Thomas Cook, A1 Travel, Easyjet, Thompson, Onur Air and a number of other flight operators. A search on our website will provide links to the main operators.

Bodrum can also be used, it is approx. 1 hour further away although transfers can be arranged for you from there.

The transfer time to the apartment is approx. 1.5 - 2 hours and the journey will provide you with the opportunity to savour the country and the people whilst you sit back and relax.

The owner can book transfers from Dalaman Airport via our local agent on your behalf if you require. Also car hire can be arranged for you at a reasonable cost (approx. £25.00 per day).
