About the home

The villa is located on the edge of the village in a quiet residential area. It has beautiful mountain views and is 7-10 minutes walk from the beach and the main restaurants/bars. It is a new villa and is equipped to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable with new furniture, air-conditioning, (including heating for the winter), fireplace, DVD, dishwasher etc.
Balconies and swimming pool for fun and relaxation.

From Turunc you can enjoy excursions by boat to the mud baths of Dalyan and up the coast to beautiful secluded bays. Also, there is a water taxi to Marmaris for shopping or late-night dancing.
Popular for serious cyclists if would like a challenge.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Turunc is a beautiful place that is surrounded by mountains on 3 sides and the blue Aegean sea on the fourth. The water is generally warm and sunny from the end of March to the end of November, the beach is a mix of sand and shingle leading into the clear blue water.
If you looking for culture, the the area is rich in ancient history from the time of the ancient Greeks and Romans. One popular tourist destination is Ephasus, the ancient city that was visited by St Paul. In addition, there are many boat trips that set out from the Turunc harbour to the Turtle beach and the mud baths of Dalyan as well as hidden coves and beaches up the coast.

The Turunc area

Turunc is a small resort closely situated to Icemeler and Marmaris. It is accessible by road via Marmaris / Icemeler or by the co-operative water taxi service to/from Marmaris. It is situated in a small bay, surrounded by rising mountains whose pine-clad slopes meet the calm waters of the Aegean. The season runs from late April through to October, with many of the services being provided by local and transient traders. It is a charming, tranquil place - loved by many tourists who return each year - and envied by those who are staying in larger nearby resorts!

Turunc has many bars and restaurants offering a selection of Turkish and non-Turkish cuisine.

There are flights available to Dalaman from a variety of UK airports. Flights can be booked through Thomas Cook, A1 Travel, On The Beach, Easyjet, Thompson, Monarch and Onur Air flights are shown on some of these websites.

The owner can book transfers from Dalaman Airport at a cheaper price than arranging a taxi through the airport. Also car hire can be arranged for you. Please contact the owner for details.

Cars can be arranged by the day or by the week as necessary and a driver can also take you on various trips for a negotiable fee.

“Treasure of a place.” Nine of us, family and friends ranging from 8 yrs to 50 something years, returned to Turunc and Villa Elma this August after a lovely holiday there in 2010. It really did feel like returning home. The villa is well equipped and comfortable and we love the setting at the foot of the mountain. The pool was wonderful this year and the gardener/pool man did an excellent job of keeping it crystal clear. The gardens attract all kinds of wildlife from beautiful butterflies, lizards, geckos, dragonflies, tortoises and the occasional chicken, but that's another story. We all love Turunc very much. It's full of pretty flowers and herbs in every garden. The setting is so picturesque. The place itself is carefree and welcoming without the hassle of some more developed Turkish resorts, a place to 'empty your head'. It feels very safe and we were able to let the younger teens roam without fear of them getting into awkward situations. We are already looking to return next year and we can't wait.

“Lovely stay” The villa is a very good size - there were 6 of us and we had plenty of room. The pool was by far the best in the area, plenty big enough for 6 adults with lots of space. The villa is located about a ten minute walk from the main street in Turunc, and is therefore quieter than some places but not too far away. In addition, there is a shop located a couple of minutes walk away which came in useful. Turunc is a lovely place - a couple of us have visited before but stayed in a hotel, however we will definitely book this villa again in the future.

“A great place to stay for families and groups of friends alike. Would highly recommend it!” Actual date of stay: July 2010 and July 2008 I went to villa Elma for the first time in July 2008 with friends when it was new. The villa was a welcoming and relaxing place to stay in during my time in Turkey. The only minor problem experienced was the electricity cutting out (due to being a new villa), however this was sorted almost as soon as we reported the problem without a fuss and we found no more issues during our stay. Two years later I returned to the villa in a group of 10 people and it was in just as good condition as the first time I had been there. It has to be said that both holidays were among the best holidays I have had! The villa can comfortably accommodate large groups on holiday with its spacious living room, 3 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, swimming pool and outdoor area. It is only a 10 minute or so walk from the town and beach and there are many things to keep you occupied in the surrounding area such as day trips, and boat trips. There are also a number of bars in the town which are good day or night as well as a number of restaurants! In summary Villa Elma is ideal giving you the opportunity to relax whilst being in an area that allows you to find many things to do, whatever age you are. I would most definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing, but fun holiday in Turkey!

“If you want to chill out this is the place.” Actual stay was September 2009 The villa was lovely. There was 5 in our party and there was bags of room. The plus side - New Detached villa with pool in quiet secluded area of Turunc. Great views from upper balcony. All mod cons included. The minus side - good 10/15 minute walk into town centre. Not suitable for disabled people, as there were some steep slopes to navigate. Plumbing had its idiosyncracies, but you expect that in Turkey. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday in a beautiful spot , then Villa Elma may suit you.

"This villa is such a find. When you are in Turunc you wonder how anyone else has found out about it and it seems to be very much by word of mouth. The space is ideal for a family to relax in and we will definitely come back. We were very well looked after from the taxi arranged for us from the airport, to being able to ask any questions to the agent who is on call 24hours a day. "Regarding the villa and Turunc, we had the most wonderful time. The villa is so well appointed and well equipped, spacious and relaxing.
As for the Alpina team, I had worried that they may be somewhat over bearing, but this was so not the case. They were excellent: they organised a mini bus to go food shopping, a superb private charter on a boat for a day, a trip to the water park, water deliveries, brought us tortoises to thrill the kids when tending the gardens... Nothing was too much trouble and they were all charming. It was so good to have them to hand.
We had friends staying in Turunc at the same time that we were there and they shared the boat charter with us. They came to visit at the villa and having always stayed in hotels previously, they are now converted to the villa holiday set up.
The resort is beautiful, much more picturesque than I had imagined. The local people were lovely, not 'in your face' as it were. ... I can't begin to tell you how chilled we all were after the first day and loving the huge Turkish summer heat. Also, I think we sensed how special Villa Elma must be to you. Your info pack etc. was so informative and warmly written. You really have a jewel of a place there in Elma and I am sure we will be back sooner or later.

"Just wanted to say what a wonderful holiday we had staying at your villa in Turunc! The weather was fantastic (only one thunder storm and that was amazing!!). My parents have been to Turunc many times before but this was our first visit and we all fell in love with the place. The villa was superb, and such a lot of space we weren't at all cramped with 10 of us sharing, in fact a couple of times we lost a member of our party only to find out that they were tucked around the corner reading a book!! The children adored the pool and were asking "when can we go in" from the moment they woke up!
Thank you for all your help whilst we were away, the problems we had were sorted fairly quickly and the Alpinas team were very helpful.

"We had a really good time doing absolutely nothing, unless you count eating as an activity.
Everybody thought the villa was lovely.
Two of our party have walking difficulties and the walk to the village sometimes proved difficult. However the setting and privacy more than compensated for this.
I have not been to Turunc for 10 years and noticed huge changes. However the one thing that has not changed is the people. They are as lovely and as friendly as I remember.
