About the home

Sea View Apartment really does have a room with a view. There are two huge balconies where you can enjoy the picture perfect view over Turunç Bay. The apartment is modern and well equipped with all mod cons such as a washing machine and a dishwasher, so that you can truly relax and recharge your batteries.

Turunç is often called the Pearl of the Aegean and is a charming fishing village. Turunç has remained fairly untouched by the impact of mass tourism and is a quiet and friendly place to have your holiday. The beach has clear blue water and is the proud holder of a Blue Flag Award. Sea View Apartment is less than five minutes walk away from this beach and also offers the use of the large swimming pool and sunbathing area in the well tended gardens.

* Pool is usually open from the start of May to the end of October.

* A Welcome Pack is available on your arrival and we tailor the contents to your arrival time. For example, a late night arrival will mean that you have a Breakfast Pack, whilst a daytime arrival will mean an Afternoon Tea Pack.

* An English speaking representative will be available for you 24 hours a day.

* Money exchange can be arranged (it is a better rate of exchange in Turkey than in the UK).

* Airport transfers can be arranged from Dalaman, Bodrum or Izmir Airports.

* The changeover day for the apartment is flexible as there are daily flights to Dalaman during the season.

* The apartment is cleaned ready for your arrival and the end of stay clean (to prepare for the next guests) is also included in your rental charge. Any additional cleaning is not included and we ask that you arrange for any mid-stay cleans prior to your arrival. The cost is £35 for a full clean and laundry change (all bedding and house towels to be changed). The cost for this can be added to your rental charge and must be paid for before your arrival in Turunc.

* A travel cot can be rented for £10 per week.

Conditions

A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total holiday rental charge is required to secure your booking. The balance of the holiday is due four weeks before your arrival date. At the same time we also require a breakage/damage Security Deposit of £100. This is returned to you in the week after your holiday, once there has been a satisfactory inspection of the holiday accommodation.

Whilst house towels are provided, these are not to be used on the beach or around the pool. Please bring your own beach towels with you for use in these areas.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The wealth of archaeology in Turkey is almost embarrassing with its abundance of Greek, Roman, Lycian, Carian and Ottoman sites. The best known of these is Ephesus (called Efes in Turkey). Day trips to Efes can be booked from Turunç and the trip is usually combined with a visit to the home of The Virgin Mary. The small settlement of Amos is near to Turunç and it has a small amphitheatre and a temple to explore (but you'll need good sturdy shoes as despite new pathways it is still "rustic"). The reward for your perseverance is the wonderful view over the bay out towards Marmaris and Dalyan and of the wide sweeping bay of Kumlubuk to the south. If ancient history isn't your thing, then there is a small water park in Marmaris which offers a fun family day out. So called "grown-ups" probably enjoy it more than the children........! Trips around the Bozburun Peninsula can be taken in a jeep, which gives you the chance to have fun and games as you watch the scenery go by. The Holy Muslim month of Ramazan (known as Ramadan in the UK) will be from 9th July to 7th August. From the 8th August there is a three day period of celebration and feasting, known as Seker Bayram (or Sugar/Sweet Holiday). It is a great time to be in Turkey to experience the renowned Turkish hospitality at its best. Shopping is a bargaining frenzy with the haggling to and fro over the cost of your purchases forming part of the fun experience. There are many outdoor markets on different days of the week, where wonderful fresh produce is available, in addition to the usual tourist souvenirs or plentiful "genuine fakes".

The nearest airport to Sea View Apartment is Dalaman.

We can arrange private transfers for you and your party from just 250 Turkish Lira (roughly £100) for a return journey for up to four people. For five or six people the cost rises to 300 Turkish Lira (roughly £120).

The transfer takes between 90-110 minutes depending on the time of day and the traffic! All transfers are in air conditioned vehicles and the time of your flight arrival is immaterial - if you get to Dalaman - we'll pick you up!

“The perfect holiday.” We have just returned from a fantastic fortnight at Sea View. The apartment was great and Debbie and Jimmy really looked after us well. The holiday went smoothly from the moment we landed in Turkey until take off on the way back. We will definitely return.

“Fall under the 'Turunc Spell'” This apartment is beautifully furnished and was spotlessly clean. It's the 1st rental I've stayed in where there were English instructions for the dishwasher, washing machine etc and all the washing powder, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls (the list goes on) were provided. A good welcome pack which contained things you really need on arrival, like fresh bread and water. The water is supplied in 19 litre bottles and delivered to your door when you need more for a mere 5TL. This is a girl thing, but loads of coat hangers for your clothes instead of the token 3 or 4. The information pack, the best I've seen, ever! Really useful information about the house, places to visit, restaurant recommendations etc. By the way, try the lamb at the Bondjukk, just down the road into town. The location is up a bit of a hill, so may not suit elderly, but taxis run from the supermarket during the heat of the day and after a few Raki's in the evening the walk back isn't too bad! The pool is fab and you have yourown sun beds, so no need to put your towels out the night before! Debbie & Jimmy are local and if you need anything or have a problem, they will sort it immediatley, plus she is English, so no language barrier. I could go on, needless to say, we are planning our next trip already. Response: Thanks so much for your kind review. We try our best to provide the little extras that all help to make your stay about your relaxation, rather than about trying to find washing up liquid! The water delivery service is always popular - probably the most commented on service that we provide. We look forward to seeing you back next summer to enjoy the magic of Turunc once again.

“Fatastic” Turunc is a beautiful little town to visit on holiday and no 5 sea view apartment was fantastic. The apartment is spacious extremely well equipt with views to die for and a fantastic uncrowded pool. The service provided by Debbie and Jimmy (who run holidays in Turunc) was faultless. Transfers arranged, excellent advice, great welcome pack, and many otherlovely touches - Will definately come again. The rental rates quoted above are for four people using the apartment. By using the sofabed in the salon, an extra two people can be accommodated but they will be charged at £50 per person per week extra to the prices above.

A Booking Deposit of 20% of the total holiday rental charge is required to secure your dates.

A refundable Security Deposit of £100 to be paid along with the balance (four weeks before arrival).

Payments are accepted via bank transfer (UK account), by credit and debit cards and through PayPal.

Additional cleaning can be arranged locally for £35 per apartment clean (this includes a full linen change of bedding and towels).
