Villa | 4 bedrooms | sleeps 8
Bay View Villa, an individually designed property, has been built to the highest specification for the current owners. The villa is situated just below the established Turunc viewpoint, a position chosen for the outstanding views of the village, bay and harbour. To one side of the Villa is small privately owned exclusive Villa/hotel and in a recent article in a national paper, this complex was considered to be one of the top ten holiday locations in the World!
The villa has 4 bedrooms (sleeping 8). There are two kingsize and two twin bedded rooms, the master having en-suite bathroom. There are three bathrooms, all with Jacuzzi baths and showers and a wet room. The spacious fully fitted kitchen with granite work surfaces opens onto a large open plan lounge/diner. There are two large terraces, one poolside with mountain views and one overlooking Turunc bay. The villa is fully equipped for up to eight people. A table tennis table and darts board will be available in the basement for 2014 season onwards. This area provides a great play area - see photo in the gallery. All linen and towels are provided and price includes a weekly clean. Extra towels, linen and cleaning can be provided by arrangement at extra cost.
The villa is just a five minute drive away (3km) from the village and we can organise a hire car or minibus at advantageous rates if required. A regular bus service passes by the villa and taxis are readily available at around £3 per trip! We have a local English speaking agent who can assist with transport, including airport transfers and he is also there to help with any problems. He will also be happy to organise any trips or outings you may require during your stay. We also have the agreement from the Exclusives Escapes hotel, approximately 200 metres from our Villa, for our guests to use their restaurant, shuttle bus into the town, their club room wi-fi facilities and buy 'top up' supplies from their small shop.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
The climate is fabulous. The sun shines for 300 days a year and it rarely rains but when it does, it is usually just a very brief interlude and clear blue skies are not far behind! Even out of season the temperature is usually warm enough to sunbathe.
Apart from the restaurants, bars and shops, including internet cafes, Turunc has one or two night spots but if you would like to venture further, the larger and busier towns of Marmaris and Icmeler, with their bustling clubs and nightlife, are just a short drive or taxi/bus ride away (for a real treat, the water taxi is also great!).
Turunc and the surrounding countryside is excellent for cycling and hiking. Other activities to try in the local area are boat trips, scuba diving, rafting and jeep safaris. You often find they cost a lot less than you would expect to pay in other countries. So whether you just want to sit round the pool or beach and soak up the sun, play in the fabulous clear warm sea, enjoy the excellent local food in one of the fantastic restaurants or maybe take one of the many available excursions to local historic sites, we can promise you a holiday of a lifetime here in Turunc.
Dalaman is the closest airport (approx.120km away) and transfers by taxi and/or car hire can easily be arranged.
There are no shortages of places to eat and those situated along the beach have marvellous views around the bay. There is usually no need to book and you will be pleasantly surprised how cheaply you can eat. Typically a good meal could be had for under £10 and if you eat at 'Fidans Restaurant', for a small extra charge, they will even pick you up and deliver you home!
Turunc Council operate a 'no hassle' policy so any attempt to lure you into a shop or bar is usually a genuine attempt at being friendly. The local traders are always delighted if you show an interest in their products and they are happy if you share some Turkish tea with them with absolutely no obligation.
Some foreign nationals have settled here including many Brits and although English is widely spoken, this is clearly a very Turkish village with a lifestyle to match.
The locals are disarmingly friendly and make you feel very welcome. They are very family orientated, love children and are eager to share their beautiful village with visitors.
