This apartment is conveniently located in the heart of the city, near to the shops, restaurants and small supermarkets. Turin's top historical and cultural attractions are located just a few minutes' walk from the apartment. Maps and routes of the city are included, and we will naturally be on hand to give you advice on the best places to visit during your stay in Turin.

The road where the apartment is found is “Via XX September” and it is just few metres away from “via Rome”, the main thoroughfare of the city. In fact, via Rome crosses the famous San Carlo public square (with its statue of Carl-Alberto on horseback) on its way to the equally renowned "square Castle" (location of Palazzo Madama, a former royal residence from 1697).

The North West Italy / Piedmont/Lake Maggiore region

Located in the north of Italy, bordering on Austria, Piedmont offers charms that are not to be found elsewhere in Italy. The region, with its spectacular Alpine scenery, is a paradise for winter sports lovers and offers fantastic hiking opportunities in summer. What is more, Piedmont has plenty to offer the visitor beyond skiing, sledging and snow-capped peaks - for example, its foods and wines, its castles, its lakes and spas.

Turin area

Turin surprises the tourist for two main reasons.Firstly with its sheer charm, which is an even greater surprise for those expecting an area dedicated to industry and work, efficient but a little forbidding.The second surprise is finding that the architecture, and Baroque architecture in particular. The historic city centre boasts the involvement of the most illustrious names in seventeenth and eighteenth century art, who created imposing works of great beauty here.

This rich heritage is thanks to the complete transformation of the capital brought about by the Savoys from the end of the sixteenth century, which continued for almost two centuries, with various additions. And while this transformation all but canceled the traces of Medieval Turin, it made the city into one of the international capitals of Baroque.

In terms of the radical transformation of the layout of the capital, sumptuous royal residences were erected, from Palazzo Reale to the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi, and existing buildings like Palazzo Madama and the Valentino Castle were reworked. A new town plan was created, with wide, straight paved streets suited to heavy carriage traffic, and sometimes accompanied by arcades for pedestrians, as in Via Po. These streets were balanced with the addition of squares, buildings and monuments, according to a precise, strict layout.

How to get there

Airport: Taxi (20minute) or airport shuttle (30minutes) the apartment is 100 meter from the bus stop(comfortable).
Train: 500 meter from the "Porta Nuova" station - 2 minute metro from the "porta susa" station.

Car: This apartment is ideal for exploring by foot and there are charges for driving in central Turin.

Would you like to visit Torino comfortably? In just three minutes walk you are in the "lounge voucher Turin" Piazza San Carlo and next-to Egipt museum, absolutely do not miss the brand new hall recently exposed.

If you do not want to dine at home, there are about twenty places to dine, from Piedmont restaurants, pizza restaurants and Asian restaurants, over two hundred meters. But if you rightly want to shop for lunch or dine comfortably and peacefully at home, there are two supermarkets close to a hundred meters or if you want I'll be happy to show you the nearest markets. Near the house are not to be missed the most famous pastry shops and ice cream parlors Turin, small jewelry.

Centrally located (near the main train station and the historic centre), the apartment is bright and quiet and immaculately clean. It is on the top floor (with elevator), and has a balcony with two potted olive trees and a view of the Alps in clear weather. Furnishings are plain but perfectly adequate for a couple or family of four. Host Marco is friendly and accommodating; in fact he was helpful from the very start, answering all my e-mails promptly and in detail. Grazie ancora, Marco, per la sua hospitalita' e pazienza!"

Par ailleurs, l'appartement se trouve à deux pas du terminal de la navette assurant la liaison avec l'aéroport... A noter la présence d'un traiteur à quelques immeubles de distance... La rue du XX Settembre n'est pas d'un environnement agréable: c'est une rue où le trafic est intense (d'où une réserve à l'attention des personnes très sensibles au bruit...)Mais en 3 minutes on se retrouve dans le cadre merveilleux de la Piazza San Carlo!
