'Casa de Paola' is a stunning penthouse inspired on Mexican contemporary expression and designed for guests looking into a combination of comfort, relaxation and luxury.

Situated in the eco-friendly Aldea Zama area, the 2 story house offers just about everything you need to indulge and enjoy yourself in a vacation you are sure to remember.

Aldea Zama is the only master planned residential area in Tulum, centrally located between the downtown center and the beach hotel zone and our penthouse is located in a small and beautiful condo 'Riviera Tulum'. There you have the entire second floor (the last one) plus the whole private rooftop of the building giving spectacular views over the jungle canopy. Fantastic ocean breezes and air/con throughout.

Unless you want to make excursions in the wild you do not need a car, you can easily bike or walk to the nearby beaches on dedicated paved bike path. It takes 5 minute to reach the beaches.

With easy access to sugar-white sands, paradise beaches, crystal-clear cenotes, and Mayan ruins, located among rugged cliffs overlooking the beautiful turquoise waters of the Mexican Caribbean, this luxurious penthouse represents the perfect choice for couples or families and can accommodate up to 5 people.

With a large terrace facing the rich landscape of the emerald forest, the penthouse features 2 bedrooms (2 queen beds), with their en suite bathrooms, a single bed on the mezzanine, a fully stocked kitchen with all appliances and kitchen ware, living/dining area with almost 6 meters ceilings on top.

The private terrace on the second floor features a shower, sink and a relaxing lounge and sofa area. It represents the perfect spot to tan and read your favorite book while enjoying the fantastic breeze coming from the sea. This is also the place you want to be at night, observing thousands of starts surrounding you while sniping a margarita. A truly breathtaking experience!

Both bedrooms are furnished with balconies, built-in wardrobes with hangers, adequate lighting, and high quality cotton bed linens. All linen and towels will be provided for your stay. Over sized windows allow for the natural light to shine through, and the marble flooring is displayed throughout the whole living space. All windows are fully screened. And this isn't all. The property also features fantastic paintings, WiFi internet, air conditioning, flat screen TV in the living room and a spectacular swimming pool!

In Tulum you have over 50 places to eat on the beach or in the town and, furthermore, you can easily:

Explore the Mayan Ruins overlooking the sea, arguably the most beautiful.

Visit Xel-Ha, aquarium and amusement park, one of the most popular destinations, offering the perfect way to spend the day for visitors of all ages.

Hike the trails of the Biosphere of Sian Ka'an and explore the forest trails with an experienced guide, encountering rare wildlife like spider monkeys.

Take a kiteboarding lesson in one of the several schools along the beaches.

Go scuba diving in the reefs or fresh water underground caverns.

Explore the miles of bike trails and side streets of Tulum.

While visiting Tulum, you may also want to explore nearby vacation destinations like Merida and Playa Del Carmen or Cancun

No matter what season of the year you plan your visit to Tulum, you'll find perfect weather and a warm welcoming atmosphere. You'll never run out of exciting things to do here.

ABOUT US

We felt in love with this place in early 2012 on the occasion of a long vacation in Mexico to celebrate Vincent 65th birthday and his retirement after 40 years of a challenging and prestigious working activity, that took us living for many years in different countries around the world.

After spending almost two months in Tulum we decided to settle there buying our holiday home inside the newly development area of Aldea Zama, nestled in the jungle and just steps away from the beautiful beaches of the Riviera Maya.

At that time our beautiful penthouse was still under construction, and this allowed us to order some modifications according to our taste. The house was completed at the end of 2012 and by then we devoted more than three months to decorate it, making our Caribbean house truly 'unique': a very spacious Penthouse with all marble floors - six meters ceiling - fully equipped - fantastic paintings - a dining table for six people - extra-large bedrooms - two bathrooms, both spacious and fully covered in marble - balcony and a stunning private terrace.

The Yucatan Peninsula region

The Yucatán Peninsula comprises a significant proportion of the ancient Maya Lowlands (although the Maya culture extended south of the Yucatán Peninsula, through present Guatemala and into Honduras and highland Chiapas). There are many Maya archaeological sites throughout the peninsula; some of the better-known are Chichen Itza, Tulum and Uxmal. The Yucatan remains the safest part of Mexico, and the road is good, although I would avoid night driving.

While you're visiting Tulum, you may also want to explore nearby interesting destinations like Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, Merida, Chichén Itzá, Valladolid, Playa Del Carmen, Cancun or have a longer tour up to north to San Cristóbal de Las Casas or to the magic Taxco.

Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve - very close to Tulum - is possibly one of the greatest places to explore, one of the best habitats in the Yucatan peninsula to look for wildlife. It covers over 1.6 million acres with many ecosystems, with equal parts lowland tropical forests, wetlands (marshes, flooded savannahs and mangrove forests), and coastal and marine habitats (lagoons, bays, and coral reefs). The reserve's boundaries extend to the Caribbean and encompass 68 miles of the Mesoamerican Reef, the second largest barrier reef in the world.

Chichen Itza mayan ruins has been declared a human heritage site and one of the modern wonders of the world.

Once there you can explore the magic and mystery of the cultural center of the ancient Maya, see the Kukulcan Pyramid, the Temple of a Thousand Columns among other amazing buildings and sites.

The ancient history combined with the lush natural landscape makes this one destination that you cannot afford to miss.

Tulum

Tulum has the most beautiful beaches in the world, with long stretches of white sand and warm waters, The city is also famous for its ancient Mayan ruins, located among rugged cliffs overlooking the beautiful turquoise waters of the Mexican Caribbean.

Get ready, when you are here you can enjoy:

Exploring the Mayan Ruins overlooking the sea, arguably the most beautiful.

Visiting Xel-Ha, aquarium and amusement park, one of the most popular destinations, offering the perfect way to spend the day for visitors of all ages.

Hiking the trails of the Biosphere of Sian Ka'an and exploring the forest trails with an experienced guide, encountering rare wildlife like spider monkeys.

Taking a kiteboarding lesson in one of the several schools along the beaches.

Going to scuba diving in the reefs or fresh water underground caverns.

Exploring the miles of bike trails and side streets of the city. ... and much more!

No matter what season of the year you plan your visit to Tulum, you'll find perfect weather and a warm welcoming atmosphere. You'll never run out of exciting things to do here: Snorkeling, scuba, yoga, meditation, kite surfing, tanning and much more waiting for you along Tulum's famous beaches.....
