A very special luxury creekside two bedroomed cottage with a terrace and stunning views overlooking the Rivers Truro/Tresillian within 2 miles of the city of Truro. Very centrally located for visiting the whole of Cornwall and experiencing the wonderful walking, cycling, birdwatching, eating and drinking and the beaches that Cornwall has to offer.
Beautifully painted with Farrow and Ball paints. The kitchen is fitted out with an Underwood kitchen with Neff appliances and numerous gadgets. The Egyptian cotton sheets and towels are white. There is a travertined wet room which has a range of Molton Brown bath/shower products to be pampered with. The ceiling is vaulted with two velux windows. There is a kingsize bed in a large bedroom with the stunning view and two adult size bunk beds in the second bedroom which has a vaulted ceiling and two velux windows. There is a small downstairs utility area with a washerdryer and small freezer and a downstairs cloakroom with toilet and basin.
The living room has a wonderful comfy Tetrad sofa with feather cushions and a cosy wood burning stove. The carpets and curtains have been recently replaced and are very much in keeping with the cottage. There is a steep back garden which is grassed and fenced and has a new decking area with stunning views and a rotary drier for wet clothes to be hung out and an area for dogs to be watered! The steps to the garden are steep and these lead to a steep tiered garden. Access to the garden is at first floor level.

The West Country region
Cornwall has a wonderful climate but it can be wet at times! It offers seasonal differences and wonderful walking opportunities on the coastal path and inland footpaths, cycling both on road bikes and mountain bikes, beaches for all types of activity, gardens including the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the now famous Eden Project are "must sees" and flourishing gastropubs, as well as Jamie Oliver's 15 in Watergate Bay and Rick Stein's various alternatives in Padstow are all worth a visit. The newish Maritime museum in Falmouth is useful for a wet day!
Truro is a city with a beautiful cathedral (which has just been cleaned on the exterior so is even more beautiful) and an array of very good shops which are of interest to all age groups. It has a very good popular farmers market with excellent local produce.
The Hall for Cornwall is centrally located and is where a lot of musical/theatrical productions/concerts are performed throughout the year. The annual Oyster festival in Falmouth is a fascinating experience as is watching the Tall ships enter Falmouth harbour.

"A wonderfully cosy cottage with beautiful views"
If you want somewhere to totally relax then this is for you! The cottage is beautifully equipped with great attention to detail. There is a wide range of fantastic restaurants in the area, and National Trust properties such as Trellisick or Lanhydrock are easily accessible. Locally there are some lovely walks through the woods or along the river. I would like to say this a 'home from home' but it is SO much more!
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We will try and continue to improve it even more so that you can return and relax again.

"Absolutely wonderful cottage - not our first stay and won't be our last!"
St Claire's is a wonderful cottage and Judy has done a superb job in making it a perfect little retreat. We first stayed there in April 2009 and fell in love with it then, but it is now even better with its fabulous rear terrace and wet room. The cottage itself is beautifully done out and has everything you need for a peaceful holiday. It's cosy and inviting but has lovely modern treats including a super coffee machine (the consumables for which are generously proffered to guests - as is everything else, so you feel really welcome and not like you are staying at someone else's house, which is often the case with holiday lets!), wifi and surround sound. The bedroom has the most super view over the estuary, as do the front and rear terraces. Truro itself is great as is the surrounding area, lots to see and do...and eat and drink! I would recommend St Claire's to anyone, and we are already planning a stay with friends there in spring.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. St Claire is a very special place to us and so it is just so wonderful to share it with others. We have made a difference this year with the changes and will continue to strive to keep it perfect! Please come back another time.

Very comfortable cottage with lots of lovely little "add on's" that make the stay a little more luxurious (e.g. wine and flowers on arrival, lots of fresh coffee via tessimo machine, free broadband and incoming telephone line). Very comfortable cottage and lovely log fire.
Perfect location within Cornwall to explore to the north or south and the wonderful Heron Inn next door for food. All in all, a brilliant place to stay and I highly recommend it.
So glad you loved the cottage and the little extras!
