About this location

The Cornwall region

Cornwall; a county with a lot to do if you chose to! Visit the dramatic North Coast renowned for its surfing beaches.

The South Coast beaches offer calmer flatter waters and glorious scenic views.

Visit some of Cornwall's most beautiful gardens.

Not forgetting every trip to Cornwall has to include a visit to the world renowned Eden Project.

Truro

Surrounding the Cathedral, Truro City is home to a series of streams and rivers which weave in and out of alleys and lanes. Parks and open spaces suddenly materialise, while Cathedral spires continually appear and disappear out of view.

Visit the Royal Cornwall Museum and be inspired by the collection of displays all related to Cornwall. On show they have natural history, ethnology and the fine and industrial arts. Be amazed at the only Egyptian mummy on display in the UK.

The Hall for Cornwall is Cornwall's largest theatre which offers an array of live theatre shows and offers the opportunity to enjoy a show after sampling one of Truro's many restaurants.

Local to The Haven and in less than 2 miles or 10 minutes you can be experiencing some real treats. Whether it's for a chain ferry ride across the famous River Fal to the secluded Roseland Peninsula or a cycle ride to the Devoran valley or North coast you can reach it in a jiff.

Walk around the beautiful National Trust gardens of Trelissick down to the beach for a picnic lunch whilst the more energetic of your party take in some canoeing or dinghy sailing at nearby Loe Beach. Meet up again for a creamy Hot Chocolate in the quirky Loe Beach Cafe.

Only 5 minutes from The Haven, park your car free at the village station and take the scenic Maritime Line to Truro or Falmouth and avoid the stress of those town centre car parks.

Enjoy a leisurely stroll around the nearby Bissoe Nature reserve. For those quiet days 'in' the relaxation of the Cornish way of life is on your doorstep.
