Lovely fisherman's house
from £70 /night help
Townhouse | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 6
Ma Maison du Pêcheur has been entirely renovated and decorated this year. Ma Maison du Pêcheur is ideally situated in the heart of the cute village of Trouville sur Mer, 2 hours from Paris, close to the beach in Normandy. Trouville sur mer is famous for its charming fish harbour, its beautiful long white sandy beach, its casino, and its narrow streets. At Ma Maison du Pêcheur, you will appreciate to leave your luggage and forget your car to spend relaxing holidays as everything can be done by walk.
You will live at the tides rhythm and at the seagull's cry. In the morning you will walk up and get croissants, pastries and bread in the bakery next to the house and you will also get fresh seafood directly from the fisherman's or other delicious farmers products from the market, at the dock (2 steps from the house). Butchers, supermarkets, other services, restaurants, cafes, bar lounges at a walking distance.
You will love this really charming and bright fisherman's house renovated in 2013, approximately 60 m2. A house with high standard decoration suited for family holidays, for a romantic stay or between friends. Bed linen, bath towels, cleaning departure provided. Free parking in the area.

The Basse-Normandie region
Three things sum up Normandy – Camembert, cider and cows. Spread along the Channel coastline between Brittany and the far reaches of northeast France, Normandy is where the green, pleasant French countryside smacks hard into the rolling waves of La Manche (the Channel). It's a place of churned butter and soft runny cheese, where broad fields and dry-stone farmhouses perch on the edge of chalk-white cliffs, and the salty tang of the sea is in the air.
Normandy is an enticing blend of old and new. Fishing boats jostle with designer yachts in the harbour of Honfleur; contemporary restaurants and chic boutiques sit alongside half-timbered houses and Gothic churches in Rouen; and the reconstructed centre of Caen is a short drive away from the cobblestones of Bayeux. Whether it's browsing the Normandy fish market, mixing with the high-rollers at Deauville and Trouville, or strolling the D-Day beaches north of Bayeux, this is one part of France that will stay with you long after you leave for home.

This pretty town will seduce you with its shopping streets full of restaurants and seafood that you can buy directly from the fishermen: sole, shrimp, scallops Jacques, whelks, oysters … a perfect destination for family holidays, friends or a romantic getaway. Trouville-sur-Mer is the town next to Deauville famous for its American Festival film beginning of September.

"Not so lovely"
Very disappointing. An exorbitant bond of 500 euros for a very average place in a quaint street of Trouville. We were surprised to have to pay a supplement for bed sheets and towels. There was very li… More
I am sorry and a bit surprised by your review as you wrote to us "There were a few hiccups I must admit but otherwise we had a lovely weekend" on Monday. The deposit was returned to you on Friday (within 5 days) normally returned in 7 days. I don't think that's too long and 500 euros is not a high damage deposit for the rent of a house. The boiler issue is unfortunate as it's new. The basic necessaries are supplied but not for the entire stay and the bed sheets and towels are free for a stay of min. 7 nights. That said we kindly note your comments and despite all hope that you and your family had a pleasant stay in Trouville sur Mer.

We stayed in Ma Maison du Pêcheur during April 2014 with my husband and young son (5). We had a lovely time in the cottage and Trouville sur mer. The location of the cottage is perfect and the hous… More
